I'm looking forward to hearing the rumble of cobra's rolling down the road. As for the weather, it's going to be perfect 70's and plenty of sunshine. If I recall the time is 8:30 AM, correct? As one of the few southsiders I will need to roll out of the garage by 8:10 AM to make it on time. I'm thinking I will drive out to New Lenox to pick up my buddy and see you guys for breakfast.

I'll be at Mr. Blas's at 7:15 also.
If we leave there by 7;30 we should arrive at the Hinsdale oasis by about 7:50 maybe meet up with the east siders, pull out of there by 8;00 and make Cracker Barrel by 8:30. I can hardly wait I'm looking so forward to Saturday!!!
Keith I think your realy gonna enjoy cruising with us. It's gonna be a good time. I have contacted the State troopers and informed them of our plans and route. They are very excited and will be waiting for us. They told me that they are going to wave the 55 mph speed limit on the tollway for us between 8:00 and 11:00 as long as we stay in the right two lanes. You gotta love those Ill. State Troopers!!

Great.

Realistically, you better look over your time table.....
Guys,
Realistically, you better look over your time table.....
No way you leave my house at 7:30 and get to the Hinsdale Oasis at 7:45 or even 8am......maybe in a jet...and people are always running late...
You guys better forget my house and meet on the shoulder of the road at the entrance to Route 53 and the Elgin Expressway at 7:15 to have a chance at this schedule...Decide before I run out for stuff...
And remember those "Wolf Packs" of squad cars on 53 and the 290......always lurking....
Just a suggestion......

BTW, me and hopefuly my co-pilot Brandon will be making the trek down for breakfast. I need to head home after breakfast 'cause I am still working on the winter honey-do list, which needs to be at a good breaking point before I can consider dropping the 450HP that I have sitting in my garage into my car.

Are you holding out on us? Tell us about what you have in your garage? Did you go with the potato? What kind of block? When do you plan on installing? Inquiring minds want to know....
Blas
I'll give incentive. I'll buy (for you only) if you show-up for breakfast. It is going to be a perfect day for a roadster drive.
What do you say,

450 HP 347 Crate engine. Stayed with the high carb diet of a potato from Pro Systems. Changing out to electric fuel pump so that I do not need to rip into the front of a brand new engine. I was just going to try to sneak it in cause it will look the same and see if you guys noticed.

So Blas,
What time should we leave your house? 7:15 would probably be a little better. I don't think we need coffee and donuts if we are on our way to breakfast. All the rumours about us being a breakfast club are coming true if we need to have breakfast before we go to breakfast.
Lets leave Blas' house at 7:15 and take a tinkle break at the Hinsdale Oasis and meet up with the rest of the group.
Who plans on meeting up with us at the Oasis?

I wouldn't mind tagging up with you guys on the 290 extension east to 294, (I'm at 355 & 290) If you call me when you leave Blas's house, I will proceed to the shoulder of 290 east bound waiting for the pack to come by, hopefully there wont be any flashing lights keeping me there. Cell Phone 630-675-5578 I should be there by 7:15 you should be by around 7:25. Fred.

Tom,
So that's what a stroked 302?
Okay, tomorrow I want details. You know who's heads, cam, turbocharger, nitrous system etc. When will it be installed?
Gosh, another car that can outrun my 5 cylinder 'upgrade'.

Hi everyone,
Although, a bit cool this morning driving to the South side for today’s Snake & Eggs breakfast and cruise, the afternoon was drop-dead gorgeous. I had a great time sharing/discussing my cobra passion over breakfast, renewing old friendships and meeting new friends. Personally, I drove 167 miles, burned up a half tank of gas, got some sun, especially the top of my head, and had tons of smiles per mile. Life is good!!
My personal thank you for everyone who attended, especially the staff at Gess Motorsport, Crete Illinois, and Dan Mroz from Dan Mroz Complete Auto in Merriville IN.
Let’s do it again.
Frank

You could add gas until the tank overflows but it still won't run until you turn ON the fuel pump It was a great time and a great day for a cruz.
Thanks, Rick.
