Jeff,
Congratulations. Sorry I could not make it. Your car looks just as pretty as I remember it-- When are you hoping to put it on the street?
Sid,
Okay did you want right hand drive so that you might feel more at home? I mean that is the side of the car from which you have been viewing the world.
When does you car get delivered?
Rich

Rich,
Poor Sid is going to go into withdrawls if he can't get that right hand drive. Hey, I've got an idea!!! I've got a sawsall, a tape measure, and a pocket knife. Lets make that thing a right hand drive ourselves.
What do you guys think?

Jeff,
I think Marty took it home because he was having way too much fun taping up your engine. He was saying something about having to tie up a few loose ends at home. Hopefully we won't hear about how Pat was wrapped up in tape all night
Sid,
Did you bribe the U.S. Customs Officer like I suggested? Otherwise I am afraid the cobra will go into an intensive exam where they will take it apart piece by piece looking for the drugs. Not to worry, I am sure they will put all the parts back in a box properly labeled for you to assemble the car yourself. Let us know when you need help with the engine install.

I bet they have had Sid's car strapped to a forklift all day buzzing around the impound lot drinking beer and eating taco bell. I hope the pictures hit the internet someday.

Well Sid, I took your advice and worked half a day on Saturday and then spent the rest day and ALL of Sunday on my car. The bride seemed content so I just kept on going. You know what I mean. I got the gas feed from regulator to carb solved. I tapped a new hole in the side and saved the Mr Gasket fuel lines. I primed the engine last night. Take a look at the picture below. You can see the oil stream being feed from the #62 hole I drilled in the oil galley plug. I have the primer drive tilted out of the way to take the picture which would otherwise be bathed in oil. Meanwhile the oil pressure gauge was reading 77. Anyone building an engine should do this to help the distributor gear to cam gear problem. Should have the driveshaft back in the next couple of days, final connections are pretty much done. 10..9..8..7

I went thru pretty much the same thing and I imagine many others have also with some kind of delay or another. You may be thinking of alternative, but consider this. This car is the way you ordered it and 80 to 90 percent of the wait is over. At this point you will not find a better deal. Get your tags and hang in there. Pretty soon, this will all be a very forgettable memory.

Well the engine roared to life Saturday night. Sounded pretty good too. Didn't get to hear it but for about 10 minutes until it suddenly just stopped. Since it was late I waited until Sunday to investigate. Big thanks to Marty and Sid. Found out the next morning the fuse to the MSD 6AL was blown. When I got back with the fuses Marty was already in my garage working on the wiring. Gotta love that guy! Still blowing fuses....Called Reg for some answers. We will see.
