Thanks for the info Chris. That means my green BDR is on a different truck and may show up in San Diego pretty soon.
I'll check back to see the pics of Sid's new car.

Well Sid if I don't help with our annual fundraiser at the Church where my kids go to school then that means a lot higher tution costs for me. Believe me guys I'm still trying to figure something out even by the seat of my pants. Look for the "Eddie Bauer" cobra green with tan stripes SPF.
So who got the strippers Arsenio or Bob? If the strippers are there count me in dude. BTW the clutch cable is working great. So it was sid that has been making all those obscene phone calls. It all makes sense now Still working on it guys but know guarantees...

Sid,
All I can say is good for you! Giving up the shotgun seat for the rocket pilots seat will be soooo sweeeet!!!! Just remember to baby the new motor for the first 500 miles, or until the punk in the Toyota tuner thinks he can show you new school technology at play. Be gentle with the lad after 4000 RPM. Break them both in real good!
Congratulations on the new baby. Well worth the wait.

So am I to expect you as a driver and not a passenger this year? Just did some switching and bartering and will be in London Friday evening in enough time to do the QSL. Has it sunk in yet?

JA – Glad to hear you will make it after all. Look forward to saying you.
For those of you following Sid’s progress:
Sid has displayed real class throughout the assembly process. He has handled every little set back with a cool head, and great upfront planning.
I think Sid read the story about Noah and the Arch while he was planning the project.
He bought two of everything he needed to complete the assembly. For those that have built their car; y’all know first hand what these problems are all about. A lot of the available parts simply do not fit very well or just plain do not work properly. Sid faced this problem time and time again.
Every set back seemed to mean Sid open another bag and had an alternative method of
‘solving the issue’.
When I left Sunday it was soooo close. The last two problems to be fixed were:
1. Getting the exhaust pipes to line up properly. (We have ALL been there). They are too close to the car on both sides. One side is actually rubbing up against the paint. This will be fixed with a little ‘persuasion’ once we can get the car next to a tree. Some strapping will be attached to the pipe and it will be pulled it into place. Not really show stopper.
2. The lousy #$%^**ING; SUN OF A #$%%^&*; MOTHER@#$%^; #; $%%^^&* SUCKING; PIECE of #$%^&---manufactured by MR GASKET. It is supposed to be plumbing for Carburetor. This parts leaks gas like a geriatric that wears a diaper. This is one of those products that look good until you actually try to use it. It simply does not work! Any company that make this type of $hit should be ashamed of themselves. Now I’ll get back off of my soap box and return to the story
Sunday night Sid was discussing what store might be open where he could get some brass fittings and T’s and some good old ‘rubber’ gas lines?
Unfortunately I had to leave; however, I think it was too late in the day to get the needed parts. I am sure the car will be running today.
Overall Sid should be given a round of applause from everyone. As a side not there are a number of WCCC members that deserve a major high 5. Most notable is Kim Mullinix!

Hey Gang,
FIRST AND FORMOST: THANK YOU TO MR. MULLINIX and His family! He put up with me and the gang even through Father's day! We have been at this thing since Thursday night when it came. And every day since then Kim, Alex and Michael have been there feeding us and keeping us going. Michael is the Godfather and I am indebted to him.
Back to the task at hand:
E&R doesn't have the parts till tomorrow. SOMEBODY THAT HAD THE Mr. Gasket setup came there with a valve problem and got up sold to the new fancy braided stuff on friday. THAT SOMEBODY GOT THE LAST ONE!!! Jeff I'm coming to your house and ripping that thing off your motor!!! They will have more in tomorrow. Called some place in McHenry that Mr. Shelby recommended. The don't have it. Street Stuff doesn't have it but is going to get me a quote for a full setup from the Carter to the Speed demon with inline filter...My Wallet just got lighter and I think my kindey wants to come out also...
It is growing pains that stretches all the way from South Africa! I should have waited till car 1000! LOL! I'm not saying BDR is a bad car its just too new and needs more feed back from owner/builders so the can make the right changes to their set up. It's all this little stuff. (please replace "stuff" with the other 4 letter word.)
Sid

Wow, was that a flashback. Drinking beer & working on cars into the middle of the night. It has been a while. You would think that we would have used up every brownie point Mike ever made with Kim, but she gracious way beyond that. Thanks Kim! Mike should be glad I do not live closer by. An awesome garage and a guy would good mechanical skills is hard to stay away from.
Sid, I am sorry I could not stay any longer, but with all the great help you had it was obvious you were in good hands. A great bunch of guy really giving their all. I was thoroughly impressed! I hope you post some new pictures so I can see what I missed. Don't forget the video of driving out of Mike's garage.
Jeff

she left the snake pit for the first time under her own power last night...GOD I WAS SCARED!!!
The alignment is off on the front. The pipe issue well isn't as big an issue. It got the pipes hot and we forced it back away from the body. Lot better now. Should be putting miles on her tomorrow.
