Sid's BDR on the way!!!
We need to make this post the official WCCC clearing house for the delivery & assembly of Sid's car. Will it actually get here? When? How bad are the scratches on the fender? Will he still drive it with the steel mini spare wheels that it's coming with? (easy to do great burnouts, but 60' times suck) anyone with either interest or ability that wants Sid to owe them big time is hereby invited to participate in the drivetrain install. Especially videographers and designated drivers. OK Sid defend yourself & organize the thrash that's about to happen. Should I call the papers?

Thank you Michael for the great intro.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Got a call from Reg around 6ish. The beast was being loaded up. ETA is Wednesday night. Jimmy of Mills Transport is bringing it to Michael's home.
I should be getting a call tomorrow from Jimmy. Don't want to bother the man while he has got my baby. I have his number and he has mine.
GAME PLAN:
Assuming cobra arrives on Wednesday night.
I'll need some guys there to check things over cause I'll be total making love...I mean in love.
Wednesday: I would like to just look the cobra over and also go over all the parts that come with it. I think we will be too excited to get things going that day.
Thursday: MICHAEL M. is our Chief. We will be his indians. Mike with great power comes great responsiblity. The trans will get bolted and a full systems check. We even may get cracking on fuel lines and electrical maybe.
Friday night: ???? I don't know yet....
The MSO should be on its way also. I hope to get it before friday so I can get it registered and insured asap.
I'll be working on the "to do list" with Mr Koller.
More to come tomorrow. ALL HANDS ON DECK!
PROJECT: BDR244 is on!

Sid- I am sooo happy for you--it must seem like Christmas Eve to you-get some rest and hope all goes well-let me know if you need some extra help w/ the engine install, ok ?
Nothing new on my end-except I bought a build manual from FFR, and it looks do-able---just need to win the Lottery at this point!!

Sid,
Sure hope all goes well. I'm working this weekend, otherwise I'd love to help with your install or even just provide some comic relief.
Best wishes,
Lowell

Congrats Sid
Maybe well I'll get to see you next year. Not going to be able to make the London car show. I think a bunch of you guys are heading there. Sorry (did mean to hijack the thread), I won't be there just can't make it happen because of other family commitments (they changed their calendar). A couple of my best friends Juan & Sam (From Louisville) are staying at the Hampton so please so hello to them... I think you guys will have a blast with them.

JA,
Hey buddy - I have not talked to you in a while. Sorry to hear you can not make it. Tell your friends to come over and say 'HI'. We should not be too hard to find. We expect to be the disruptive group, making too much noise, yelling 'light 'em -up' and generally making lots of new friends.

Just tell them to look for the car that looks like yours (without the hardtop) only with the Black Stripe on it.

Well, it did arrive. I witnessed the unloading today. There are still a couple of guys over there right now plugging away on the beast. Friday night a bunch of us plan on pulling an all nighter so we can take turns beating up on that thing on Saturday morning.
Nice color combo, nice polished wheels.
AND OF COURSE. SID SITTING IN THE PATENDED "SID SEAT"
check out my gallery to see his car. Sterling Gray with Silver Stripes. 17" polished wheels.

Re: Sid's new BDR
Congratulations to you Sid. This is my 1st post on the forum and I just had to do it. I'm in the same boat you just got out of. My new BRG Backdraft was picked up in FL last Friday and is enroute to San Diego. Naturally, I've not been sleeping well either.
Did you happen to notice if there was a green one with silver stripes on the truck? I don't know if Reg is inclined to send two trucks simultaneously. If it was on the same truck, did the driver say where he's headed next?
Enjoy your new car,
Hank

Sorry, I'm having troubles uploading the pics at this time (dial up connection). No green cars on the truck. There was a blue with white stripes BDR and an all silver with no stripes BDR. The other two cars were mustangs (05 and a 70 something).
