Well--- I got to hold up for Jeff also---I checked his timing slips against Mike's 11 second run and if you put the et difference from the reaction/60 ft times equal, his runs were pretty close --he was losing over 1/2 second leaving the line with the street tires and the rear suspension was doing an African watusi ( WHA--TU--SI ) that was hurting him big time
The live axle cars have an advantage over the IRS cars on straight line stuff
Chris has a line lock and drag tires (I think)
I think Al had tires also, Shelby has race tires
Jeff ran way into the rev chip on every pass in some gear,, on his last pass we removed the aircleaner and he did a better burn out and the car launched hard and he got into second in pretty good shape but shut it off about half track on what would of been his best run, from my experience I think he would of been(could of, should of) been deep into the 11.4- 11.7 area.
Lets do it again
Jerry

Hey Jeff, how much money did you have to slip into Jerry's hand to get a write up like that? I know it'll cost me twice as much because of my slower times!

Mr. Lucky, South Africa? Man, you're a long way from our 1/4 mile track!
It's almost 1:30 AM here near Chicago so you won't get much response from this side of the world for another 6 or 8 hrs.
South Africa, heh? Any race tracks in you neck of the woods? Any Cobras besides Superformance in S. A.?
Would love to talk politics with you, but it's a no-no on this forum.
Have a good day and we'll talk to you later.
Ralph

It was great fun, exciting and honestly some of the best guys to do it with. I look forward to the next time, but boy will the pressure be on then. Like Mike said, I better get out the checkbook.
Ralph, Tony is more of a road racing guy. Much more actually having won several road races in the pro division. BDR is fortunate to have him.
