8th. Annual All British Car & Cycle Show
A different show than the one on the South Side in September we usually attend.
I'm thinking Chris Wolfie Bob and Ralph - all "Country Boys" by comparison to us Suburbanites - could put together an interesting route - and a breakfast joint....Circle the wagons at my place for Coffee and bagels - for those city slickers heading Westward...then we line up the wagons and head West meeting up with the real ranch-folk and then meandering off to the airport/show...
Here's the info on the show...
8th. Annual All British Car & Cycle Show
Co-sponsored by:
The British Boots and Bonnets Car Club of Rockford, and The Poplar Grove Airport Museum
When: Sunday, July 9, 2006
Car show admission to the grounds begins at 10:00am
Show hours are Noon – 3:00pm. Judging will be Noon – 2:00pm.
Where:
The Poplar Grove Airport Museum is located at Illinois Route 76 & Orth Road in Poplar Grove, Illinois. Poplar Grove is conveniently located off major interstates; approximately 90 miles northwest of Chicago. Take Route 76 north from Belvidere, Illinois or go south from Clinton Wisconsin, the airport is about 10 miles south of the Illinois-Wisconsin state line. Maps to the show site are included on our website at ( http://www.britishbootsandbonnets.com )

My father-in-law is in the club and will be bringing his AH 3000 and Bugeye out to the show. There is typically a lot of Morgans, MG's, and AH's out there. It's a pretty nice time - I think they still run some vintage planes giving rides to patrons. A good showing of Cobras would be pretty slick!
If you need any info, don't hesitate to give me a shout.
Todd
