We should do a Snake&Eggs....while we can...
Any suggestions....
Maybe a visit to Tim G's house to check-out the final steps of his build...

S&E sounds good to me if I'm in town. I was giving some thought to driving down to R&G tomorrow and staying until Saturday afternoon but after the snow this morning I'm not so sure.
Keep in touch.

Guys,
Deal me in for the S&E, but I'm heading over to Wolf's house after breakfast to help repair his car.

I've given up on R&G after snow yesterday morning and temps in the 20's this morning. I've got some dirt work to do anyway. Saturday would be better for me for breakfast but I'll try to make it either way. Where do you guys think you want to eat?
Frank: Which day are you working on the Wolfman's car? Did you figure out the problem?

Lowell,
I'm planning to work on Wolf's car tomorrow after breakfast. We're not sure what is broken, what replacement parts are needed, etc., but will know tomorrow.

Come on, speak up, let's pick a place! Maybe make it an hour or so later than the usual time, to get the sun's rays to warm up the ride a little.

The farther west, the better!
Steak 'n eggs, biscuits 'n gravy, maybe some fried eggs & grits... I'm ready, guys...
Frank,
Tell Wolfie I'll bring the exam gloves and the thing with the light on the end...

Okay,
I'll pick the spot. Apple Villa Pancake House & Restaurant, 3101 N. Barrington Road, Hoffman Estates, 60195, (847-765-2000). (We've had several prior S&E's at this restaurant and it has easy access via the I-90 expressway.) How about 8:30AM?

Lowell, I would have picked the Family Restaurant on Route 64, just east of the Rock River in Oregon.
But I don't think Frank wants to go THAT far west.

Uh-oh...sorry guys...It was a late night and I'm not going to make it to breakfast.
Ralph, If you see this and need some help with Wolfie's car, give me a call. Too cold for the Cobra but I can get more tools in the truck!

Lowell, saw this WAY too late (17 hours too late ).
Had only two Cobras show up for breakfast, Mark and Laura and Rich Musson with his grandson. I'd say all four deserve a prize for braving the elements.
Others used more comfortable vehicles for the S&E.
If the weather is warmer Sunday toward noon, I'll call and see if you and some others want to make a little run.
Ralph

Yeah, hardly a Cobra kind of weekend... At least it wasn't windy this morning so I could burn some stuff without starting all the corn on fire!
Did you manage to identify the source of Wolfie's "rear end" problems?

Lowell,
Mike, Ralph, and I stopped over at Wolf’s after breakfast, met Chris and preceded to disassemble his car’s rear axles. We called Al and Blas for their expertise, Al had previously taken his car’s rear end apart, Blas had several Superformance tech articles, and both gladly dropped in to help us.
Our disassembly included: Removing the rear wheels, wheel hubs, brake calipers, “A” arms, shocks, and sway bar. On examination, we found the driver’s side axle had snapped. Fortunately, the break was clean and without any metal fillings in the pumpkin. We removed the broken pieces; axle shaft etc., and Wolf needs to purchase a replacement unit. We’ll get together to help reassemble the rear axles at a later date. Thanks to everyone’s help and combined knowledge, the job went fairly smoothly.
Sorry you were unable to join us for breakfast but let’s have the next S&E out in your part of the country. It’ll probably be too cold for our cobras but I’m up for a little country ride in my daily driver.

Frank,
Thanks for the update. It's great the axle didn't take anything else with it!
Let me know if you need another pair of hands when you get ready to put Wolfie's car back together and I'll be glad to help if I'm in town and not working.
S&E out this way would be great: maybe somewhere around DeKalb or Sycamore or thereabouts? That's about an hour for us.
