FFR Build
Good Morning Men,
Rich Musson gave me some info on a guy building a FFR in my area so Kelly and I went over the other day. Mike (builder) has really done quite a lot of work and is at a stage where I thought it would be great idea to bring our collective wisdom over for a peek. Some fresh idea, experiences, do's-don'ts, safety issues, color ideas (I hear there is a shortage of blue paint in the area) etc... would really be a big help to Mike.
Mike has a pretty full schedule at college; yes he is half the age of most of us..well, ok probably me and for sure Frank , so I'm hoping next Saturday the 18th for snake and eggs would work for everyone. Say 9am at the 94 & Grand Ave Cracker Barrel.
There is also a guy in my area that is in the finals stages of a BDR. Motor (dart 427 with blower) is almost ready to be installed. If you guys wanted we could probably stop by there also. This guy is a good friend of Morris (the 200k Kirkham) and who know what could happen.

And what happened to Brian, the member I got into the club around 5 months ago and was building the Cobra Daytona? He's also in the northern Burbs. Haven't heard hide or hair from him. Wonder how he's coming along?
Brian, speak up, we'd love to see your project!

He was sent an application....
No reply as of yet...
Maybe the collection of Wolfie's rear axle posts scared him away....

Jeffko,
Hey, Hey..... easy. I was going to mention Buddy's car soon, I was going to take some pictures if it and post them here, I'm really excited about this one. Buddy might as well get a pallet of 15 inch tires for that beast. Did you get a chance to see it?

Hey Bill,
I didn't mean to steal your thunder, but secrets are short lived in this hobby especially ones like this. I just got back from Bud's. Great guy and his wife is a real sweetheart. Has anyone ever tried this with a BDR? He has done a nice job with it also, but with a shop like that how could you miss. I got a few pictures, but for some reason I left my camera at his shop. I could see some subtle improvements on his car compared to mine, but pretty much the same. The next version is what I am waiting for!
Northside garage crawl time!

Jeff,
I haven't heard of any of other dealers bragging about it. I'm sure we would have by now, though. It would be tough to keep this one quiet, because a 427w supercharger with fuel injection. I can't wait to fly up and take a few shots of it. Buddy and Barb are some of the nicest folks around. His shop is one to envy. I bet there could be several more done in that shop

Jeffko, let us know where to meet for the S&E. You can put me down, as of now, for the meet! I'll ask wife #2 to go if golfing is out for Saturday am.

You guys think about 9am at Cracker Barrel?
Bud's BDR 10-12
Mike's FFR 12-2
Is the Doctor available since he has almost equal experience with both BDR and FFR?
Hey John, all we need is temp over 40 and no rain. I still have gas to run out.

Just in case our new member Brian Palmer reads this, 10 messages back Blas wrote about an application we have not received. This is NOT about you, Brian. It was another prospective member who has not returned the form.
If you are available Saturday morning, we'd like to meet up with you and talk about the progress you're making building your Coupe.
Ralph

Jeff
Unfortunately, I can not make this. I am real sorry.
I could give y'all a long excuse - but not one would believe it anyway. Unfortately the holidays are begining to get in the way also. So the next few weeks are pretty full.
Sorry,
Rich

Rich, we could always use a good story...someone may be able to use it for work someday.
Seriously though, I know it is getting close to Turkey day ,I was thinking the FFR guys would be the most helpful because I don't really know much about an FFR. Besides, the guy (Bud) building the BDR with a 427/FI/Supercharged is a cool build.

Looks like 6 so far. A couple more and we could get the round table in the corner. That does not sound right.
Actually counting Bud, Mike and myself there will be 9 and I got an email from Blas about another guy named Sten that would make 10.

Hi Red Snake and the rest of you. My build is coming along. Working on the fuel lines and lining up panels for an engine install. This is my first and I'm taking it slow. I travel for work a bit. I'm in Dallas and Sonoma this weekend. (I will stop by the track in Sonoma for a peek).
I need to stop by here more often.
I'd welcome visitors!
Brian
