peter,
Do you enjoy steaks. . .piano music. . .at the #2 steakhouse in the world? You must try. . .The Chop House!

Ralph, Blas,
I've never been there myself but it must be great...I've seen Marty's pictures of some of the "waitresses". I think their slogan is "You can whip our potatoes but you can't beat our meat..."

"there is another D&M (not related) on Ogden Ave that usually has a nice crop of older auto's - mostly Vette's though."
That would be "D&M Corvette" - That would explain why they have so many Corvettes... Nice shop! They also sell brand new vintage style hot rods like Ford Hi-boys and low boys, rat-rods, and some vintage stuff.

......Yes speed, that would be D&M Corvette. I didn't elaborate because a lot of guys here don't care for Vette's, but D&M is a classy shop and I thought it would be worth a visit for someone from out of town.
The D&M in Glen Ellyn probably has more Vette's than anything else as well (in fact, the 2 D&M's had a legal battle over the name awhile back), but they also have a ton of SPF's, so don't let the Cheby's keep you from visiting them!

Chop House is not the #2 Steak House. If you go there, go with friends and go with an appetite. It is so much better when someone else is picking up the tab though. I am drooling thinking about it.

Went to museum of Science and Industry today--it took us a 30 minute wait in line to get tickets altho inside the museum it didn't appear to be very crowded--most people must of been in the special shows
The Land Speed Record car is the Spirit of America not the Blue Flame!!!!
In the exhibit about life there where as many people watching the chickens hatch as were looking at the other displays.
The U-505 exhibit has been completely redone since I was there last and is very nice.
The United B727 exhibit brought back many memories for Robin and Me--The pilot on duty there used to be my flight manager and we had a nice visit. Still need to go jump thru the hoops so I can do the duty there---with over 8k hours on those 727s I think I can still come up with the correct answer(maybe not politicly correct but who cares)
Not many people looking at the military stuff ( that bothered me )

Ok, when I was there, it was given that rating in a recent travel magazine. Doesn't matter though, a great place to eat with an incredible atmosphere!
