Default Volo Auto Museum Car Show

June 3rd, will be here before you know it, and once again this year, Volo Auto Museum is once again sponsoring what’s now billed as the Shelby/Cobra/Ford Car show. (Note: the Carroll Shelby Foundation is no longer associated with this event)
This is a big event for the WCCC that’s in our own back yard. It’s a great day for gathering together and spending a few relaxing hours enjoying conversation with fellow members and answering questions about our cars to curious onlookers.
The WCCC has 24 cars signed up as of our meeting last Saturday. We would like to see a few more register for this event.
Everyone should have received an application form via email from the club last week.. If you missed the meeting and are still interested in attending this event, please send in your application ASAP and let me know you plan to attend the event and breakfast (or just the breakfast/event). Spaces at the show are limited to 250 cars again this year…so don’t wait…
There will of course be the traditional Snake&Eggs before this event, and the club has dipped into it’s cash reserve and had Rand Road from the restaurant’s front door to the gate at the Volo Auto Museum totally repaved just for our members driving enjoyment that morning. And even if you can’t attend the Volo affair, consider joining us for breakfast….Details for the breakfast will be posted as the event date approaches….
Blas / Warren

Not sure on the cooler issue. But what's in your trunk...is in your trunk I would think...As to buying breakfast....you could be buying breakfast for 60+ people....Is that what you intended? Yes I got your photo and I'll pass it on tonight...

Morris, I see Blas hasn't answered your question yet, so I'll take a stab at it. I am somewhat familiar with KMP 259 by having followed your build-thread the last couple of years. In the past years that I have attended the Volo shows, our club has always driven our cars through the back entrance. I realize that you have a comp Cobra and you may not have the option of driving it in.
I'm sure with the "PULL" that Blas has, he maybe able to arrange a special spot for a special Cobra and it's transporter to be displayed in our area.

Ralph and Warren

Thank you so much .....we are trying to get the car back together after making a bunch of changes over the winter from our test down in St.Louis..... and we are not sure if it will be completed......

But if it is done ....I'd love to bring it out and let others see the many things we have done......

Warren Thank you for the PM...... I just figured it out...... not good on the computer......

I'll keep in touch.....

Thanks

Morris

I don't think they would want the car on a trailer at the show, people climbing up and such...(limited space too) but you could trailer it there and I'm sure lots of willing hands would help you push it up to the show area....but pushing is risky with all that aluminum...do you have a tow hook and strap? But do join us for our Snake&Eggs...

Default Updated: Snake& Eggs location.

Here is the information on the pre-event Snake& Eggs....

Pre Volo - Snake& Eggs Details:
When: June 3rd Sunday at 7:00 am
Where: White Alps Restaurant (same place as last year)
572 W. Route 22 - (the Northeast corner of Hwy 22 & Rt 12)
Lake Zurich, IL 60047

Since CS is no longer participating, are the entrance fees going to be inflated this year like last year?

No charge if you display your car...you and guest...
