Byron - Saturday May 12th
Who's got the info on Bryon for this Saturday? Are we going to meet up somewhere between here and there? What time ? Where is Bryon? Who's going?

Hey Warren, notice that none of the regular Byron guys are answering? After seeing what your Cobra can do last Sunday they're all afraid you'll make them look slow at the track!

I had to return my axles again so I won't have the car back together by the 12th. I may come as a spectator, though; we'll see...
Sorry.

In the past, we have done one of several plans. First, the track opens the gates at 9:00 AM & racing begins @ 10:00 AM. If we are ready @ 10:00, we will get more runs in with less time between them, as the day goes on - more cars arrive & the staging lanes fill up. As they go generally in a rotation among the lanes, the wait becomes longer between runs. I plan on arriving @ 9:00AM at the track.
AS for a rendevous point for travel out there; If we can get an idea who will be going, we can pick a spot either on I-90 (Randall road or further west) or Rt 72 (@ rt 47) We need to leave the rendevous point no later than 8:00 AM to arrive before 9:00AM. Other option is to meet at the Spring Grove Family restaurant west side of Genoa right on Main St. (rt 72). Need to leave there by 8:15 AM.
For the City folks the other option is to just drive to the track & get there before 10:00 AM - you will have a short, cursory tech inspection as you sign your waiver.
Post your thoughts.

With thoughts like that, I wonder what Blas has been smoking so early in the morning?

Breakfast in Gurnee and to the track by 9:00 or so.
Hey Chris, since Warren has so much power maybe you can hook onto the back of him and still beat Ralph and Sid.

Sorry guys.
I won't be there. My Chief Mechanic and my top notch pit crew (Laura) has told me she wants to sit this one out.
That is probly a good thing. I would end up trashing something on the car and I have Gingerman on Monday.
Have fun, be safe and most important GO FAST!
One more thing, don't break anything.
Hey Jerry, Did the new sign come in yet?
Some thing about COBRA Roadster repair experts
Post some times and some Pic.

If I were to be able to get up early enough after a Friday night to make a 7:30 breakfast....where would it be? Hopefully somewhere between rt 47 and Byron on rt 72 like Genoa.

We would meet the Spring Grove Family restaurant west side of Genoa right on Main St. (rt 72) around 7 am and leave there by 8 am heading to Byron

Looks like were going to have perfect weather for Byron. Seems like only a few members are going. What about the Vetts? Are they going this year?
I hope to see a lot of smiling faces tomorrow morning at 7 am at the Spring Grove Family restaurant west side of Genoa right on Main St. (rt 72).
Lite'm up
