British Boots and Bonnets show - Poplar Grove Airport
FYI -
The annual BBB show is July 15th at Poplar Grove airport just north of Belvidere.
Find out info/register at www.britishbootsandbonnets.com
As always, the vintage airplane museum will be open and there are usually a few old planes there.
Don't let me be the only cobra there...

Many of our members are participating in the annual Victor Ford Show on the same date.

Zip,
How was the Popular Grove Airport British Boots and Bonnets car show? Several WCCC members and I attended last year’s show and were impressed by the large display of aircraft, cars and motorcycles. (I’m a HUGE Steerman biplane fan; did any fly in for the show?) Unfortunately, a conflict with the Victor Ford Car Show prevented me from attending. Hopefully, I’ll be able to attend next year’s show.

Badman,
The show was great - the largest turnout yet. I think there was just over 175 cars - Bentleys, Morgans, a whole slew of MG's and Healey's. My lonely cobra , and yes there was at least one Steerman. One of the pilots let my kids sit in the cockpit (late model plane) and they loved it!
I had the only "modified 4 cylinder" as the club members called it!
There should be some pics soon at www.kisstudio.net
It's a nice kind of a show - not your typical mopars, chevy's and ford's....
Hope to see you next year!

Zip,
I'm really sorry I missed the show and hopeful that next year's event will not coincide with the Victor Ford Car Show. The Victor Show hours were 9:00AM until 1:00PM but you had to arrive before 8:30AM to secure a lot parking space. What were the Boots and British Car Show hours? Depending on the show hours, I’ll plan to attend both shows next year.
Thanks,

Badman,
The show started at 12:00, judging was done by 2:00 and the show finished up about 3:30. Cars arrived anywhere from 10:00 to noon.
