WCCC July 21st Caravan to the BRIC
Hi everyone,
The purpose of this e-mail thread is twofold. First, we require an accurate head count of everyone planning to attend the WCCC Saturday July 21st BRIC tailgate party at Road American in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. Secondly, I want to discuss the WCCC’s caravan plan to the event. Please read the following and reply to this thread if you’re planning to attend the event or caravanning with the WCCC.
We’re planning to meet at the McDonald’s Restaurant, 5555 Grand Avenue, route 132, Gurnee Illinois, 60031 at 8:00AM. The restaurant is just East of I-294, by the Great American Amusement Park, and the same restaurant we met at for last year’s BRIC caravan. Since it’s another three hours to Road American, we’re leaving Mickey D’s at 8:30AM to avoid the summer sun/heat and drive thru Milwaukee before 2:15PM Brewers’ versus San Francisco game. (The game will be nationally televised via the Fox Network and Milwaukee may become very jam-packed if Bobby Bonds is approaching the 755 home run record. Honestly, I’d like to avoid the potential traffic congestion.)
If you need to refuel, please do so before having breakfast.
Don’t forget to bring you I-PASS, sun block, several chairs, and water for the trip.
The attached hotlink will provide you with specific directions to the restaurant.
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...y=US&geodiff=1
I’ll see everyone on Saturday, July 21st at the Mickey D’s in Gurnee.

Anyone driving up. Don't forget your chairs or your sun block.
If anyone is coming in a daily driver that happens to own a canopy if you would not mind bringing it I sure it will be used. We have at least five coming but I think it is one of those things that you can never have too many of.

Hi everyone,
From the what it worth department…per mapquest.com, it’s roughly 110 miles and a two hour drive from the Mickey D’s in Gurnee to Road American. We should arrive at Road American before noon and avoid any Milwaukee Brewers’ versus San Francisco traffic congestion, the afternoon sun etc. if we leave the restaurant at 8:30AM.
Joe and I will be at Mickey’s at 8:00AM and the caravan will leave at 8:30AM
Don’t forget to bring your I-PASS, several chairs, a couple bottles of water, sun block cell phone, etc. The plan is to drive straight through to Road American so please have a full tank of gas before leaving Mickey D’s.
Please call me if you have any questions on my cell phone.
Thanks,

Reed,
Thanks for offering to share your 10’ X 15’ canopy to the WCCC members or any other cobra owners stopping by during the BRIC weekend at Road America.
Once again, from the FWIW department…Rich and Ralph are at Road American and said “the Wisconsin weather is “cool.” They suggest bringing a heavy sweater, long pants, etc. as a change of clothes as a precaution.
I’ll meet everyone at 8:00AM tomorrow at the Gurnee Mickey D's.
Later,

Frank, et al.,
If I don't run across you guys on the way up, I'll see you there. I'm planning to leave here around 0530 (!), pick up my friend Sandy, who lives near Wilmot, grab a quick breakfast and head out. If you leave Gurnee at 0830, we may be in roughly the same place at roughly the same time.
I emailed you my cell phone # (sorry: wrong heading on the email as I just used the August 24 event announcement since it was easier than looking up your email address). If you email me back with your cell phone #, I'll give you a call when Sandy and I get on the road.
Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
BTW...Sandy bought an Arntz Cobra project which is due to arrive next week, so it looks like we should have another club member.
