Quaker Steak and Lube Aug 18
QLS Run to Madison Wisconsin. Yes it is the same as the Dream Cruise weekend. Chris and I will be setting up the route. Starting at the Culver's in Huntley. Leaving at 9am. Estimated 2hrs up and 1.5hrs back. Back road up and highway back. We will not be passing out maps you just have to keep up. Chris will be driving the MINI Cooper with the kids. Nice and simple. If your in post here.
BTW this is Sid using Chris' computer.

Are you saying that there are no maps and we are relying on the smell of onion rings as navagation?

Wow, it would be easier to keep up with the other blue car. Using the Mini is just unfair.

I sence a disaster without maps being issued....
Anyone who gets lost will have no idea where they are going without a map to follow...
You'll spend a lot of time waiting for people who hit lights (or cows)
Where is the Culvers in Huntley?
See I'm lost already...
Wish I had a map....

Dream cruise?
I didn't know Huntley was big enough to have a Culver's.
What's a Culver's anyway?
Where's Huntley? isn't it on route 66 in Oklahoma? Near the wig wam tent? oh my maybe that's a different thread....
Jeez I think I need to up my meds a bit!

Looks like maps are needed. Nobody thinks they can keep up with a Mini.
It must be because it is blue.........................

Hello everybody
Hi
Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member that have just joined your site today. I live in Pretoria South Africa and I have two Cobra's and have just recently bought a Fairmont GT that I would like to renovate. I also have a genuine 302 Boss engine that I would possibly sell if I do not find myself a 1970 Mustang Fastback/Boss body to do a Boss clone. These are getting more hard to come by in our country. I am quite interested in the 1955-1965 car era especially the Muscle cars. Hope to get to know some guys through the site in future.
regards
Fred Calitz

Welcome to this site, Fred! This is a great site for many different subjects, mostly for Cobra enthusiasts. But you'll be surprised what else shows up once in awhile.
If you hurry you maybe able to get a plane ticket and meet us for our annual Brian Redman/Historic Races event at Road America in beautiful Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
Ralph

Alright, I talked with Tom the manager at the Quaker Steak and Lube (no not that kind). He is expecting us around 11:00 - 11:30. He is going to save us some parking spots so we can all park together. He doesn't have any other events planned for this day and he said if we are there before noon we will beat the rush.
Wings and onion rings anyone? Who wants to watch Sid and Wolfie cry because they are too hot?

Maps, Maps, Maps. Boy you guys take all the adventure out of everything. Next thing you'll want is directions too. You guys probably pull over to the gas station to ask for directions when you're taking "the scenic route." LOL
There will be maps, don't get so scared.
P.S. It will be football season and we are heading into Packer country. Be sure to wear your Bears clothes. And make sure we all keep an eye on Sid when we pass the farm animals...

We are really good at bringing a thread right into the gutter aren't we? So now shall we throw Erik(lipstick) and Mark T(HemiSnake) under the bus? Ladies are you coming?
Response: Blah blah blah...my wife won't let me blah blah blah.

Sure, I'll go. I still need to install my new power steering pump, hopefully they finished building the hoses by now. I'll know for sure by the end of this weekend.
