Exclamation Another Great WCCC Event

The WCCC Holiday Party was yesterday evening; I just want to thank Sue and John S. for putting together another great WCCC event. The location, slideshow and food were excellent...And what a great idea to have the bar in the same room...saving a lot of un-necessary walking ...Thanks also to Fred M. for the slideshow equipment. It's always great to see warm weather photos of us and our cars in action in the middle of Chicago's winter. (-6 F. when I left) Some of you may remember that back in 1985, it was -27 F on this day...
*
FYI - There were 59 members in attendance, and lots of our new "first timers" circulating around for this annual club event...(Weren’t they supposed to be warming-up the cars of the seasoned club members at the end of the event?)
*
Wolfie should begin blackmailing everyone with his photo collection soon... for his gas money for the 2008 driving season...so be prepared...
*
And just a heads-up for everyone: There will be another up-scale SNAKE&EGGS towards the end of February or the 1st week of March; so keep them Sunday mornings open...and eat lite on the Saturday before...

I want to add: Thanks to Blas for setting up the raffle items and organizing the name tags. And, welcome the new members who, despite the rumors surrounding us mean, plotting club members, bravely and blindly joined the party knowing they may very well be the brunt of everyone's pratical jokes...you folks have guts.

We NEED to do more events in "dress-up" mode. It was kind of fun not hanging out in a parking lot for a change of pace.

I need more images so I can put together the next slide show, so keep this in mind when you're snapping images. Wolfie??

Blas,

x2 on your comments. I had a great time meeting several of the club members last night. Someone forget to provide me with the memo on warming up the "established" member's cars.

Take care,

I think we had enough winter already, because it was really good to see the wild bunch (WCCC) again. We enjoy the party and everyones company. Thanks to John and Sue, Blas and Fred for setting up the holiday party. Can't wait to get together again with the cars back on the road. Go Bears!

Default What party?

Hey how come I wasn't invited?

Oh you mean that nice get together this last weekend?
Sue got me to go by telling me it was a wedding reception........

No wonder, I thought those new members were the bride and groom.

Great job Sue and John and Fred and Blas, as usual I had a great time. But when I find out who it was that slipped the "micky" into my drink there will be hell to pay!!! Just to let the new members know,,,,,, that is not! how I usually behave at social events! I'm sure that Ralphie and Richie would agree.

P.S. John I haven't had a chance to down load the pictures yet, but I will get them to you soon.
