Thank you Steno of the WCCC
Hello everyone! I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to Steno of the WCCC. Steno traveled 2 hours (one way) to my house to help me jumpstart my wiring. I can't thank him enough for heading out at 5am, driving two hours one way, helping with the wiring and then heading home @ 9pm for yet another two hour drive!!! It's been a long time since I've made an appearance on Club Cobra and even longer since I've replied to a thread on here; but I just had to give a public thumbs up to Steno. I've got this CRAZY engine management system that neither he or I had a clue on how to route the wires. Though we make some progress, there's much more wiring to be done. Nevertheless, we had a great day scratching our heads looking at all the pretty colors of the wires. My car now looks as if it's covered in spaghetti, but thanks again Steno!

That's what the club is all about. Congrats.
So when will your beast make its debut?
Is the body painted? Hopefully blue, if you want it to be fast. LOL

Hey, that’s great news. You know, after those 3 small fires (and that one big one) that broke out, late at night, in the garages of those other members of our club he did some work with, well...they never actually joined the club after that….All of us in the WCCC thought Steno would give-up on his electrical wiring career and concentrate on what he does best, he’s a fantastic pastry chef. But were are sure glad that he’s not a quitter and keeps trying to use that knowledge from that on-line electrical class he took for $29.95 about 5 years ago….Keep plugging away at it Steno….you’ll get one right someday….
Sleep good tonight Dee.....

Blas, let me be the first to tell you that he's no Jacques Torres either! Thanks for the heads up on the fires. I'll check with my home owners insurance to see if it covers a Steno.
Hey Steno, glad you made it in ok. What all this talk about reading? I've went all my life without reading, and now you think I should start reading to expedite the wiring? PFFFF! Who would've ever though an EMU came with a book! Anyone know if Evelyn Wood is still in business? BTW, is this picture what you meant by "brain fart"?

Jerry, we were running the heater -- but with Sten's old bones, 95 degree's is frigid! Actually, those pictures were taken right after we got back from lunch and had just opened a garage door.
Jerry I'm running Electromotive's new GT setup and a Innovate wideband. Basically it's got everything the Electromotive TEC3 has, less a few functions that I'll never need. We got the Painless chassis harness all laid out, which was truly Painless. Things got a bit nutty when we concentrated our efforts towards the Electromotive. This thing does EVERYTHING under the sun, and for the most part we were able to get a handle on which wires were needed. Trouble set in when we only found 6 injector wires and about 6 GP I/O wires. Like Steno said, I just need to find time to sit down and figure it all out. We didn't attack the wiring according to the manual. I skipped right over attaching the crank trigger and sensor, as we figured that could be done later. Here's a picture of the unit and the multi-colored pasta.

6 injector wires ????? Sounds like you might not have the correct version of computor
An item of interest we have come across repeatedly with guys using the electtomotive products is they are very sensitive about the spark plug wires
I assume also since you say that it does everything---seat heaters, controls rearview mirrors, automatic parking, fuel pump control, running lights and navigation??? But the feathures you left off was traction control and ASB/stability control???

Jerry, the EMU is the correct application and can be used with a 2 cylinder all the way up to a 16 cylinder application! I can run staged Injection, throttle body injection, phase-sequential injection, full sequential injection, rotary injection. Most applications will use the phase-sequential firing option. This firing scenario pairs cylinders that share their TDC's to the same injector channels. As such, one injector channel fires two injectors: one on compression and the other on exhaust. Each injector channel will fire once per revolution, so each cylinder will see a shot of fuel on both the exhaust and compression stroke. In an 8 cylinder application, each injector channel has it's own staged injector channel. 16 low impedance injectors could be used with this firing scenario. Jerry, don't get me started on the features of this thing. Some of the features -- I actually know what they are
