Hello all! My name is nick and I live in the southwest suburbs. I take delivery of my FFR tomorrow! I have been on the ffr forum and acting as a sponge for that last few months. Now I hope to meet some local folks that have a love for these cars as well! Just wanted to say a quick hello.

Hey, WELCOME ABOARD, Nick!

Did you get the FFR fully assembled and ready to drive or is it in bits and pieces? What color stripes are on your RED Cobra?

Nick,

Welcome.

Don't feel pressured by all those guys with the slow red cars.

Everybody knows that Blue is the quickest.

Ask Al and all the others.

Blue is still better and the more Carbs the better. I have 3 duces on my 302. Beat that red cars.

Welcome to the craziness.

Oh boy, you had to ask.
It has something to do with the Drag Day Event.

Wolfie, thought it was an event to do with cross dressing, So he showed up in leiderhosen with panty hose underneath.

I'm sure he will chime in and expand on the story. LOL

Lee, you know the funny thing about this whole story is that Chris is the son of Wolfie. But Chris won't tell anyone that his dad made him go through high school with lederhosen. (yes, that is the correct spelling)

Lee I think silver is an excellent choice for a cobra. That color goes with any onsamble you wear and it would put you in the elite group of cobras, those of us who know the color doesn't make the car, the best dressed driver makes the car!

Nick,

Welcome to the wonderful world of cobra ownership and to the slightly demented WCCC Club Cobra owners board. Post if you need assistance with your build and we can schedule a legendary Saturday WCCC “garage crawl” guaranteed to expedient your build process with our expert advice and hands on knowledge while pissing off your neighbors with our infamous street burn out contest. (Ideally, we want you tearing up asphalt this year and the WCCC members are dedicated to support fellow cobra owners achieve their dream regardless of car color).

So post and we’ll be there.

Well, looks like Nick got so overwhelmed or confused by the color suggestions that it left him speechless.
Or Blas gave him the airfare and keys to the WCCC condo in the Bahamas, if Nick promises to paint the FFR red!

Nick,
Welcome to the group. We have a little of the blue vs. red thing going on here. Chris Damsch can tell you more about it. The Windy City Cobra club is a great group of guys and gals that enjoy driving or riding. Oh yeah, my husband built me my own cobra. Mine is Pearl white with black stripes. Again, welcome to the club and don't be afraid, don't be very afraid.... (Wolfie is the one to be afraid of..but not because of his driving skills...but for the lack of them!!!)

Nick, welcome to the dark side of life , did they mention LEDERHOSEN to you aready, Blue and red rivalry . As you ascend into this group you will fine many , shall we sat DIfferant people , exposing your family to this group has not been proven to cause anything other than COBRA MANIA.
Silver makes for a great strip on a blue car, just a thought.

Nick,
Welcome to the MANIA! These cars are a rip no matter what color they end up.WCCC members may be a bit "unique" but that makes it all the better! My FFR is RED and I love it that way.Much better than the gel-cote rat rod that I was driving when I joined the club. There wasn't a dash in it, and the doors and hood was held on by black duct tape. What a sight!A road trip your way would be nice to see your progress and give you a hand if you'd like. If you need a hand or encouragement while on your build, give a shout out. Then Fill the frig, fire up the grill, clear the parking spaces, and hide all small animals.Your car will be done before you know it.
Good luck,
Sten
