Default Kane County Cougars

Anyone interested in doing a group outing at the Kane County Cougars semi-pro baseball game in Geneva IL this summer? You can find out more about what they offer at www.kccougars.com. If I have the website wrong just google kane county cougars and it will take you there.

They can cater an outing with tents, food, tickets, etc. A family outing. Michael's concern is the parking. Before I approach the park I need to know how many people. Could they offer prefered parking? Let me know asap if this is something that the club might want to do. If not this summer maybe next summer? If we get a good turn out maybe this could be an annual event???

The KC Cougars games are a lot of fun. The teams are single A pro minor leagues. Not to split hairs, but this is pro baseball, not semi-pro - some of those players became instant mutimillionaires at 18 years old! They are tomorrow's stars and you can sit by the bull pen and talk to them.

I recommend it - they have entertainment between innings and if the weather is right, it makes for a fun day.

Actually, my son played against the Cougars on another team in the same league, so I'm a little biased. But it still is fun.

Definitely would be a lot of fun. We've been in the past and had a great time.

I have put this out on both Club Cobra and the email list for WCCC and have had very few responses so I will not investigate this any further.

Thanks for your efforts in trying to put together another club event Kim.
There has been quite an apathetic audience for events so far in 2008.
I think in part, due to the long and relentless winter we had this year…and some bad timing...
We have already cancelled at least 3 or 4 club events so far this year due to lack of member response… And the couple that did go on, (Go Cart enduro, and ???) they had no pre-event talk-up and no post event talk-about online or by emails…
But I’m confident that once the weather improves and the cars are on the road again, things will turn around for us all.
We need to engage all of our newer members to get involved with club get-togethers..
Heck, it’s been so long since I’ve seen my car, I forget what color it is... I just remember it’s not Blue…
So when is the Byron event? Is there a plan?
And the first club meeting for 2008?
And May's St Charles Car Show?
And May's Steak & Lube?
And the scheduled April "Ladies Snake&Egg event"
Anybody up for some "garage hopping" to see some Cobra building taking place?

I am interested, but it depends on the date. The original post said sometime this summer, I believe. With the weather it is hard to believe summer is coming!!!!

Or did I miss it???
