South Elgin High school car show
Hey guy's
My very good friend has a daughter who goes to South Elgin high school, and they are having there 1st annual car show. My buddy Phil is the guy who helped us out with our new Cobra club banner. (AT NO CHARGE) I would really appreciate it if we could get as many member's to show up as possible.
The show is on Saturday May 17th 9:00 am-3:00 Pm. I have donated $100.00 to sponsor a trophy on behalf of the club, so I would be greatfull if you guy's could come.
Thank's in advance
On a side note (yes Blas, Vern will actually be there) Rat fink Cobra AKA Pete Sweeney

Oh-uh, two car shows on the same day, that may lead to trouble!
There were usually about 15-18 Cobras at the past two SC High School shows, but with so many new members maybe there will be another 15 or so members show up to satisfy both venues.

Blas, what is the time for that event? Maybe in the afternoon? That way some of us could at least make an appearance. As you remember, last year's event was cut short because of rain.

Let me scout around some, Michael. I bet we can find a couple more, that way we'll get a lot of driving time in!

I suggest you put some maps together, determine a meeting place and time, breakfast place, coffee shop, someone's house, what ever...and post it to the club via our email network...

Sid, you are not allowed to ask another man to a bar for beers until this whole mancard issue is resolved!

I thought someone mentioned we could meet some where then go to one show. Then move out as a group to the other event and then out to lunch, not breakfast. This would allow a later start, but more time at each based upon comments from last year. (I wasn't there, of course) Coming from Rockford I like that idea.
Someone should take "ownership" of this event since both shows are on the same day, IMO. My hand is not up, so not me. I am tenative at this time, since work is getting hot now.
Lee
PS, maybe the "owner" should start a new thread to coordinate the events of the day, rather than have two threads.

Hey guy's
As the Owner of this thread I would like as many of the club members to show up as possible, when they can. I do not want to put a time frame as to when we should meet, as there are a lot of things going on that day. I would just appreciate as many members as we can get to just stop by when they can.
Thank's RAT FINK COBRA, AKA, Pete Sweeney

Pete,
Pretty sure some folks (except Mike) from St. Charles HS may drive over. Probably should keep the Manor as the meeting place. No need to create multiple sites if we don't have too. Just an idea. Wait I'm sorry this is your event; you have total control. Disregard previous statements. Please don't think I was being rude.
I think the address for SEHS is:
760 E Main St, South Elgin, IL
Is there a cost? Entrance Fee?
Sid
