Due to an unexpected trip I will not be able to attend the Devil's Lake cruise. I have everything setup including maps. We need someone to take over the event and lead the route. Please let me know if you are willing to help out.

Fyi
I called the resort and they told me that they would hold the group prices even though there have been 2 cancellations from our group. I hope you guys still plan to go despite me backing out. It should be a great cruise.

Lee, (& others that are planning to go) Arcenio is attempting to revive the information flow on this event. Kim & I are definitely going up Friday, & staying until Sunday AM. I don't believe a meeting place for the cruise up there Saturday AM was ever established. At least some of the people were also going to go on Friday so we didn't pay much attention to the Saturday AM cruise. You are already half way there, if & when others chime in Arcenio & or me will try to hook up the Saturday people. Stay Tuned, We're trying.

Still going to Devils head
Sue and I are still going, but leaving out on Friday afternoon.
Mike maybe we can hook up with yiu guys.
Is Wolf and St. Mary still going?
Lee, i know Marty Heller replied he still wanted to go also.
I have applied for the maps with Jeff, I
threw in the secret code word, and the super secret handshake.
But apparently not enough for him to send me the maps.
Oh oh here comes the bus Jeff, here you go,,,,,,,,,
Wow that made a loud noise. Never threw anybody under a bus before.

He shouldn't have been standing that close to the curb.

I agree, but apparently, it has shaken the maps loose.
I just emailed them to you.
Is Wolfie going?
Where is a good place and time to meet?

I'm all hyped up and ready to go!! We want to hook up with you guys Friday and race up with you. I don't need no stinkin map!!! I believe we just head north and a little west. If we hit the Mississippi we went to far west. If we hit the Canadian border we went too far north, but then we just stop for lunch!!

Just sent a e-mail to the group that seems to be going. We will be up Sat. AM or whenever you guys plan to be up, I mean, plan to go on the cruise..
Just cannot make a commitment for Friday night. Work is to demanding.
Rich, I heard about your MSD problems and see my e-mail and the same FFCobra.com thread as below.

I have a spare MSD box available if Rich wants to try swapping it out?
Have you checked the ignition switch? Common problem if the car just quits on you...

MSD Info
I was told by MSD tech these 3 key things
1. Run the ignition signal to the distributor away from all other wiring.
2. Run + & - from MSD box direct to battery
3. If the engine runs at all it is not the MSD box. They claim that if anything in the box fails the whole box fails.

Hey Mr bus driver. I have been asking for more than a week prior if anyone wanted maps and or take over the trip. Looks to me more like the trip was getting close which shook out a request for the maps.
I hear it already..."well if our sponsor had not bailed on us this would not have been a concern".

Most of the group went up today. I will go up tomorrow AM and meet them at the resort. So all is well, thanks.
Rich did look into the dist. cap and found moisture and corrosion. He cleaned and dried it and will give it a go the last I have heard. Similar to my problem, but will look into it with Rich tomorrow.
Sorry you cannot make it.

Regarding this distributor issue, try putting a layer of di-electric grease around the entire edge of the distributor cap to seal and minimize the airflow, thus preventing additional moisture from getting inside the cap area at all. The MSD std. vent will allow ventilation inside the cap without a large flow of outside air...and moisture being trapped inside...air circulation is produced by the protruding veins on the rotor itself....no additional holes required.

Well...we are back from Devil's Head. What a great time we had. We ended up with Michael & I, RC & Sue Salinas, Rich Musson with Judy #2, Lee & Carleen, Wolfie & Mary Damsch. Had a great time and you guys missed it. What great roads. I even kept up and nobody had to wait for me. No breakdowns......No worries.....No problems. Great weather....great roads....great time. More to follow I am sure. Maybe Wolf can get some pictures downloaded.
