Default Plexiglass

Does any one know where I can get my new plexiglass wind wings cut down to the size of my existing ones? They need to be trimmed to clear the mirrors when opening and closing the doors? Took them to a glass shop and they could cut to the size I need but not buff the cut edge to match the polished finish.
Thanks in advance.

All you need to buff the plexiglass is a small torch. Kind of like the ones you would use to start a barbeque. Just do not get it too hot or you will melt it too much. I do not know if you have them out there on the east but out here on the west there is Port Plastics and Tap Plastics. I had 1 break and had Tap Plastics make me a new set including drilling & countersinking the holes (rights and lefts) and polishing the edges for $25.

Default plastics

if there is a machine shop near you (not automotive) they can mill the edge
then use 400 grit and work up to 1000 grit paper (wet) and they will look sweet

Fred

p.s. if you dont find anyone let me know i will machine them here in pa

Go to a plastic shop that sells or makes plastic signs or products. I had some made out of Lexan using my old ones as a pattern, cheap and the edges were perfectly done.

Default Plexiglass

If you need anything fabricated, adjusted, polished, etc., in plexiglass, stainless steel, plain steel, or whatever, I'd be glad to help! I own SPF 2454 and faricated a stainless driveshaft cage for safety, as well as fan covers, and a front license plate bracket. You can see some examples of my capabilities at www.outfrontdesign.com. I'm in Highland Park, Illinois.
