Default Discount on Dyno -- Sat. Nov 1st

Komet Motorsports in St. Charles will drop $15 bucks off the price of the test if we get 5 cars to go. Sid, Chris and I are in, so we need two more. We are all in the 450hp range, so there will be bragging rights when this is over. The cost will be $85 (normally $100). It is a very nice shop, here is is a link to the website: http://www.kometmotorsports.com/main/page_home.html.. We are penciling in Oct. 18 as the date. Anyone else interested?

Sid's going to the dyno?

Chris who?

We did a dyno day a few years back at a different location. It was a blast. If anybody is interested in seeing where they stand, here's your opportunity.

Sounds like a fun day for those interested.

Default Dyno

Sid's talkin' smack too. It is Chris with the Viper engine (crap, I think it was Chris - I spent 3 hours with him on Saturday).

IMO: Dan Mroz is the ONLY guy to see when it comes to dyno work... Afew pulls on the dyno and he'll help you fix it right to boot....

Jim, I wonder if he can tune an Electromotive TEC 3; if so I'm in! I called and spoke with Dan Mroz over at MROZ Complete Auto Inc (about a 5 minute drive for me) and they can't program it there. Dan is a great guy and was both very helpful and honest about my engine setup. If I can't find anyone that knows the system, looks like I'll have to trailer the car to SE Alabama! Needless to say, I'd like to find someone a bit closer than Alabama. If not -- sounds like a road-trip! I'm open for suggestions before I start packing....

Derek, good thinking about "packing" when you head for Alabama!

Default Slow Motion

I sent him an e-mail regarding you question, as soon as I hear something, I'll post an answer and hopefully save you a trip to Alabama. Take a look at his website. This is not your local garage, they have some sophisticated stuff.

Sorry about the name thing Rich (not sure how I got Chris?) or maybe I should be apologizing to Chris for calling Rich his name. Not sure who is more offended, I'll let you two decide who got the worst of it.

Default Dyno day at Komet Motorsports, Inc.

I would welcome anyone who wants to come out. We have been told there some of you who are interested in a dyno day. As of right now we have the 18th booked for another club but the following Saturday is open. I hope this will work for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We are able to handle most tuning issues (including tuning the TEC3 system) but depending on how many people show up, tuning individual cars may require additional time. Once again, please contact us if you have any questions.

I am interested. I did talk to Kurt at KOMET MOTORSPORTS about it also, since I have a tri-power set up.

If the weather looks good I will likely be there, since I have to drive it from Rockford. I will confirm it as we get closer to the date.

Right now we have the Saturdays of October 25th and November 1st open. Hopefully one of these two dates will work for everyone. Once again, please feel free to email me with any questions.

How long is that 450 horse plus line? Is there room for a little yellow motor?

Hey, thanks for insight Raphael! I knew if anyone could shed some light on getting packed -- it would be you. I hear that you can get packed with your eyes closed, and legend has it that you can pack virtually anything while on an empty stomach!

Oct. 25 would not work for me, since we are interested in the WCCC Scavenger Hunt on the same day. Nov. 1 could work, but it will depend on the weather, since I do not have a top or a trailer.

The 18th is drag race day in Rockford, the 25th is the scavenger hunt in Rockford, so may be November 1. I still may try to do it the 25th. Kurt, can we use our 5 over a couple weekends - have some come the 25th and some the 1st?
