Holiday Party??
Is anyone thinking about a party in January? I haven't heard anything. Any ideas? Sue volunteered to set it up again, but no one has contacted her. It's getting to be kind of late to plan.
Anyone?

74 views and no comments?? C'mon guys, who is in charge of club events? Step up and let's do something. The end of the year is near, and it'll get difficult to find a place that's available.

Are we going to have a Holiday party?, 208 views and no one willing to step up ? What's happening here - come on club members lets hear what you have to contribute . Dayle and I are willing to help in anyway. Sid, Sue, John youdpn't have to do it alone. Tell us how we can help. We have not seen very many members this year and it would be nice to see everyone .

Holiday Party
Bob, John,
I think you need to direct your comments to Sid.
If I m not mistaken he is the person in charge of this event.
Is that right Sid?
Sid,
You have a whole club to involve.
Has it been brought up to the directors for vote or debate?
Is there going to be any entertainment?
Do you need help co-ordinating and scheduling this event?
What is the progress so far?
What places or venues do you have in mind?
Come on fess up, spill the beans.
Or is it that there are no beans to spill?
Inquiring minds want to know.....

Hey Sid,
How about a holiday party in Long Grove? Strawberry/Holiday fest?
The chicks will dig it.

Hey Guys,
Been pretty crazy at the PSiddy household. I'll be touching base with Sue S. tonight. I know it's late but we still have some time since we are going to be planning this in Jan.

As a reply to the emails I have received of late:
Our traditional Holiday party was the event that re-energized the club 6 years ago. I for one am still anxiously waiting information as to the date for this year’s holiday club event. Some of us or our spouses need to make arrangements to be off work this evening, while others with younger children, need to make arrangements for sitters well in advance. Traditionally, the venue for this event would be semi-formal, requiring proper attire (like business casual for the men and SEXY for the ladies) with a nice sit-down dinner or buffet arranged for us at a reasonable cost. There was money allocated form the 2007 club dues for this event. Always enjoyable is the grab-bag of assorted gifts for the members and their wife’s. This being the one traditional club event where we don’t have the smell of high octane fuel, and wind blown hair. (For those of us who have hair – hahaha) It has in the past cost approx. $30 a person, which has never seemed to be a problem for members. I highly suggest al WCCC members post their comments and suggestions here ASAP to get this event information circulated as I have no information to share beyond the info above.

I agree with Bas' main point. We all have time pressure and family needs and the more advance notice of the date for the Holiday Party will help improve the attendance. Jan. is getting full for weekend commitments now.
Maybe "Holiday" also means Valentines Day party, it could be around that time, I guess. We would like to have about 4 to 6 weeks advance notice of the date, please.

Doh! I can't make that date. Any "rain" dates to put out to the list?
January is already used up for us, and probably others as well. Any chance you might consider sometime in February?
Just putting it out there...
