Oh so close....
Well. I haven't spent much time over here in the WCCC forum. Really busy with work, but it looks like this 2 year and running project is coming to an end. Not sure if anyone here has been following the build thread over in the CRII forum.
That other guy named Ed and DVs CRII build
But I got the temp plate today. Waiting to see if my choice(s) for a personalized plate gets OKed from the state.
Next stop... London Ohio!!!

Now just get it on the car! Who built your motor? And when are you expecting it back from DV?

Capteddie, Congratulations on the almost birth of the new baby. I hope you enjoy the car as much as we have enjoyed watching and reading about the build. You and DV have made for great reading. I will miss seeing all of the back and forth between the two of you.

Thanks Rich... Thanks Jim... Thanks everybody! !
I'm glad I made the build thread when DV and I hooked up. I know I've learned a ton and I think the thread has helped others. Just because the build is coming to an end. Doesn't mean the thread will die. I've already been talking to DV about "maybe" pulling the C6 out over the winter and replacing it with a TKO500
Also I have been doing some research into the next project... think a 66 fastback Mustang built and painted match the cobra
But that will be on hold till the cobra is done and the wife has been calmed down after seeing the final cobra build numbers

Captedie, If you go on the il. secretary of state web site you can do a plate search and see what plates are available now. Everything can be done oneline......

Capteddie, That is great news ! I preferred something other than an automatic for a Cobra (my dad had an automatic in his 12 cyl E Jag). But, to each his own. I would really like to see what DV would do to a 66 Mustang! DV, Do you like working with metal? Now that you have shared that news I can be truly happy to see you come to this point in your build.
