Who is Going to KIC?
I would like to get a head count of everyone planning to go to this years KIC, the annual "Kohler International Challenge" which runs July 16 - 19. As you know Rich M. and I have been getting up there on Thursdays to stake out our hang-out at Turn 5 and setting up a hospitality site for anyone who stops by for refreshments, breakfasts and lunches.
I know there are some of you planning on hitting the road again for Devils Head the following weekend and my concern is it may put a damper on the number of Cobras willing to make two fairly long trips within a weeks period.
As you've read in another thread, Johan is anxious to invite the GT40 group over to hang out with us. The GT40 is the featured car for this this years event.
Please let me know if you are planning to attend:

Thanks, Ralph

I plan on going, maybe I'll stop by D&M and pick up a GT40 for the event. Sue said it was okay as long as it's not the blue/orange colors!

I/we are a definite maybe. However, I have a friend who races, so I/we may be staying
in the "racers camping area" with him.

Hey Wilson, we have a friend who races also, from Hotlanta, and after he experienced the WCCC hangout, he never goes back to the "racers camping area!"

If Chris goes up for the day I'll go too.
If he doesn't go I'll probably still go for a day, but most likely I'll get lost and not find my way back home for a week and then there will be issues with Mary!!

Oh, is that club member RALPH WILSON? Must be getting old, I should have recognized him as often as he posts here!

If things continue going well at work then I will attend on Sat only. Likely with Jody, my son-in-law. I have never been to Road Am. and am looking forward to it.
Some guys at work have told me parade laps are offered. The web search did not find any information on when and how much. Anyone know about this, it is still done????
For those going Sat. maybe we could meet and go as a group.

Touring on Saturday with about 1200 other cars on the track is like coming home from Chicago during the 4:30pm rush-hour on a Friday night.
As you've seen, it's bumper to bumper around the whole track.

The GT40 guys get their own special touring session at 8am Sunday and I'm sure there will be some empty seats...
I'm looking forward to the KIC this year. Sounds like Saturday will be the big day.

Julie and I are planning to attend Sat. or Sun. depending on which day offers the best weather. Seems most are looking toward Sat. so we'll do the same...
Now to convince Julie to take the cobra on that long a trip...
