Anyone else? Jim, are you in?
We need to let the people in Amboy know for sure how many cars to expect since we have a reserved area for the WCCC in the center of town.
The plans are to meet at McDonalds at the intersection of 14 & 176 at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 30th.
Second meeting place is Highway 47 & 72 (Starks Corner) at 7:00 a.m. proceeding west to Amboy.

I'm in Woodstock, and it would be great to meet at either of these places for me before heading out.

The weather looks good - no rain. See everyone Sunday, either at designated pickup points, Iron Skillet or in Amboy!

well, this was a great show---huge turn out of WCCC members---weather great
Record set on amount of cash in 50-50 drawing with over $30k donated---they ran out of tickets
Huge number of original 30,40,50,60s cars---same with rods, rat rods, bikes, vettes.
spent couple of hours with Robin showing her the styling trends over the years via, headlites, tail lights, fins, grille teeth, two, one, wrap-around windshiels, bumpers, flatheads, olds rocket motors, Buick straight 8---list goes on and on
I as always answered or explained differences of dozens of vintage questions
I have been to 3 of the best ever car shows this yeaR THAT i REALLY ENJOYED AND THIS WAS THE BEST ONE-----now looking forward to the Elburn and Morris shows
Thanks for a great turnout

I concur....great show, well organized and they bend over backwards for any request of help. Thanks to Buddy for the loan of his master cut-off key. I did find mine when I got home.... it was nestled on the inner edge of the running board of the Tahoe and survived the trip. Amazing.

Hope all the members who turned out for this show enjoyed themselves. It was a great show and it was nice to see the guys from the Bloomington area along with everyone else! Barry Sale won first place in the HH Class (Special Interest) with the original CRX Cobra and Steve Ledger won 4th place. Buddy Neely won Best of Show in the popular vote. His car was featured on the t-shirt (which incidentally also sold out along with the 50/50 tickets). The WCCC members were given special t-shirts with the club logo on the back along with Amboy Depot Day hats. The men and women who put on this event really go "the extra mile" to make everyone feel welcome. At the end of the show, all of the volunteers who make this a great show stood at the exit and thanked the participants for coming. Never before has that happened at a car show I have attended. All of Amboy was truly grateful that we came and look forward to seeing us again next year.

Many thanks to all for making Sunday at Amboy so nice. That is absolutely one of the best shows I've been to. Can't believe how well organized it is and how the town goes out of their way to make it special. It was especially nice to have breakfast with fellow WCCC members and drive, as a group, to Amboy. Because I'm so far away, I don't get to participate in as many WCCC events as I'd like to, but this is one event I definitely will do again.
