Default MI Fall Color Tour ?

Hi Everyone,
I have had a few inquiries about the Fall Color Tour for this year already.
Although I have thought about it I do not have anything firmed up.
I don't want the same old, and to lose anyone if we don't have to.
Heck I have enjoyed the last 4 years of planning this cruise and everyone that has joined us.

So I am trying to set up something for the Color Tour this year wether I am going to be here or not and am looking for some input. I am trying to avoid some of the things that we have done already unless it is something that everyone is interested in.
Such as:
Do we stay in the Traverse City area? If so what things would you like to do.
A all winery tour, or what?
The TC area is nice because we have a bunch of guys in town and it makes it easier to schedule and determine where we are going to stop for certain things like gas and lunch and such.

Do we go to the other side of the state? If so, does anyone have any ideas on places to stay, or spots of interest for the cruise on Saturday?

Do we go farther south on the west side? Then again we need points of interest and places to stay.

So, what do you say? What do you think? What would you like to do?

Chicago guys please chime in also, we would love to see you come out again also.

Thanks,
Todd

Hey there Todd, when are you thinking of doing this?

We usually make some sort of run in the late summer or fall, this could be it.

Hey guys, we are planning right now the 18th-20th of September.
If you guys decide to come again this year then we can have a meeting spot like last year and pick you up on the way in.
I will keep everyone informed as we firm up things.
It will be similar in timing to that of what we did last year if you want to check out the final agenda from then.
Any questions or comments etc. please let me know.
Todd

Default Fall Color Tour

The Windy City Cobra Club is planning to circle Lake Michigan Sept. 11th, 12th, & 13th, 2009. We had a great weekend last year with The Great Lakes Cobra Club, driving through Traverse City, Charlievoix, The Tunnel of Trees, Makinaw, and down through Wisconsin. We have not yet finalized the route or agenda, but will do so shortly. If you're interested in participating, please email Marty Heller [sawadeedude@yahoo.com] so we can get a head count for motel reservations.

Please post the definitive plan when it is lock in.

We would like to make the run to Traverse City. I am not sure we can put four days into a drive around Lake Michigan. I would like to, but can not afford the time from work.

So. Todd if the run on the 18th to the 20th is on, please let us know.

I should have something finalized later today for everyone,
hope you all can join us again. Those dates from above are not completely solid.
I am being told this morning that there is a soccer tournament in TC
and all the hotels are booked.
Most are asking for us to back the dates up so that they can accomodate us. They
say that they will give us a smoking deal if so.
They also believe that the color change is a couple of weeks behind because of the
weather that they have has this year so far.
If I do back it up it is going to have to be Oct. 2nd-4th, since I have to be
out in California from the 25th to the 1st.
Any objections to going later?
Todd

We cannot do it the weekend of Oct 3-4. I am about to suggest the WCCC do its usual Drag Race at Byron on Oct 10.

We prefer either weekend of Sept 12-13 or Sept 19-20 and given enough notice can do a four day trip for the WCCC group.

Great trip last year. Thanks Todd.
