The tires, while only for show and completely unserviceable even for cruising, are Firestone Indy Specials. i used them in the middle sixties into the early seventies for street performance tires, as they were wets, and lasted perhaps 4000 miles or so, if i took it easy.
They were soft and were very forgiving, but could be booted sideways for lots of smoke and drama, even if a few tenths slower.
They were on most of my street cars, including both the Porche 930 and my 308 Ferrari, as well as all of the Cobras. They were marked for racing only, but only on one side, which always seemed to end up on the inside of the wheel well and not very obvious...
