Description: This is an incredible Factory Five Racing Mark I 427 Shelby Cobra Roadster (www.factoryfive.com). This car was built by renowned Cobra-builder Gordon Levy (www.levyracing.com) in 1998-99, with all documentation showing that it was delivered to him in Fresno and the build was finished after he moved to Arizona. The car was back and forth to Levy several times following the original build to sort/repair/upgrade. 17” Halibrand style wheels were installed in 2003.

I purchased this car from a collector in Van Nuys, CA. I told him I wanted it, flew out to CA, and drove it 400 miles back to Phoenix with no issues. Finished in silver with black stripes, black side pipes, black powder-coated roll bar and black quick jacks, this car looks very serious. And to back up the looks, a fuel injected small block (306) with a B&M/Powerdyne Centrifugul Supercharger is installed, feeding through an Edelbrock manifold, and Jet hot coated headers. Five-speed T-5 Tremec transmission. While I have not personally dyno’ed the car, I have a dyno sheet from 2000 following installation of the blower showing 381 HP and 362 ft/lbs of torque (compared to 270/275 prior to blower installation). The car runs on pump gas. AutoMeter gauges, Moto-Lita steering wheel, disc brakes all around, tires in great shape with plenty of tread left. I have several thick folders with receipts and photos, documenting the build as well as all upgrades and work that has been performed over time. I have had this car in for regular checkups to Levy Racing during the time that I have owned it, since they are located here in Phoenix. The car drips a small amount of oil, not enough to notice any difference on the dip stick between oil changes.

This car is fast. If you're a little too heavy on the pedal, you'll break the tires loose in first, second, third, and probably fourth. This car sounds incredible, too. It will set off car alarms if you're not careful. That being said, the car cruises nicely at 75mph and gets 20mpg while on the highway due to the tall fifth gear and the roughly 2000lb weight.

This car was titled in California as a 1965 when I purchased it, so no registration hassles for you CA residents, assuming that transferring the title from Arizona to California is no problem. It is currently registered as a 1965 Cobra Roadster in Arizona. The tags are $20/year and no emission requirements in AZ.

Odometer shows approximately 13,500 miles. No evidence of any body damage or repaint work, and the car is completely reliable (starts every time, never any mechanical issues), super fast and extremely loud. Mechanically, this car is completely dialed in and cosmetically it is in very good shape. Paint is very good, but has a few nicks/chips consistent with age & use, and interior carpet is ok. I will be providing a carpet kit for the car, as well. There is also a tonneau cover that I had installed. It has never been used, since it never rains here. This car does NOT have a top.

Please call or email if you have any questions.
