For Sale: 427SC Cobra replica by Backdraft Racing, #291, originally built in 2005. Titled and registered with the coveted SB-100 certificate in California, meaning it will never need to pass a smog test. Sterling Grey/Silver stripes, grey interior with black carpeting, padded leather steering wheel. Professionally built by California Cobra. Under the hood: recently rebuilt Ford 351 Windsor, bored to 391 cid, outputs 400 horsepower. Engine built by Smeding Performance; Edelbrock air-breather heads, Cobra valve covers, MSD ignition, Ford hydraulic roller cam, and Holley carburetor. The engine is mated with a Tremec T-5 with overdrive gearbox. Chassis/ suspension: BMW 325i brakes with independent rear suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes. Rolling stock: driver’s side rollbar, 15" 5-lug Halibrand-style polished aluminum wheels, ceramic-coated sidepipes, chrome front and rear bumpers. In the cockpit: extra-wide and tall leather heated seats (driver’s side adjustable) with leather dash, side panels and glovebox, new, upgraded Backdraft Racing floormats, RayDot mirrors. You also get: vinyl soft top with windows and a car cover. This snake was designed to turn heads and outrun nearly anything on the road, but was built to be a daily driver.—it even has an air conditioner, which blows cool air on those hot days. Just had the bumpers and sidepipe heatshields re-chromed and the sidepipes ceramic coated, along with a new alternator, upgraded clutch, powerful radiator fan (it never overheats), and only 3,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. $34,900 obo.
