Agreed. 20K Less that than what the owner paid...and not having to wait about 1.5 years...think it is worth it!

I would assume the number should be csx 4017 not 1017?? When was it built?

No, the number is 1017...the 4000 numbers are associated with the "Pressed Aluminum Bodies", the CSX1000 cars (only 17 build) are the Hand Rolled Aluminum Bodies made in England. This car was just completed. It takes over a year to produce this body, and then another 6-8 months for Shelby in Vegas to complete it.

Seems to me that was the AC (under Alan Lubinsky) project that never quite came to fruition. Just a few (I guess 17?) were made and the partnership dissolved.

The FIRST one sold (or was it a raffle?) for over $500K.

They are no longer in production, at least from England. Fenimore might be doing something in Michigan,,, hard to keep track of this stuff.

To All.

These bodies are STILL in production from England, hence the 1000 number designation. To date, 17 (the one I am selling) have been fully built. Number 1018 is almost completed in Vegas and is going to a very lucky owner here in California at the end of December.

I will post more pictures of the MSO along with the CSX1017 plaque.

Original CSX1000's were marketed as a "return" to the AC/Shelby team partnership (Alan Lubinsky). That partnership dissolved, AC operations moved to Malta, then the USA, more lawsuits, etc. It got ugly...

Later models were built under AC Heritage and the Brooklands Motor Company (Autokraft descendants). Along with AC AutoKraft in Michigan (Brent Fenimore I believe).

It is likely any future CSX1000's will come out of Michigan.
