Offered lowered to $48,500 now that it appears it has not been titled correctly.

I'm not sure where Shelby gets their present day (new) aluminum bodies from, but the majority of CSX aluminum bodies have come from Kirkham (via Mig factory in Poland).
CSX fiberglass comes from Hi-Tech in South Africa or the recently closed HST plant in Mexico. Maybe other places, I'm just not an expert at CSX's or much of anything. :-)

Wow,
Sounds like this guy has been scammed really badly.
From memory Bowdens only paid $550K for their real one with a race history.

Regarding price and value, with this car already in Australia nd registered, would it be possable to transfer the rego or will it be red flagged with RTA and not be allowed through as it is truely a 1997 car and not 1965?
I only ask as I would have thought that if it is allowed to be registered L/H drive still in new owners name then it may be worth a little more than current US prices (Registreable, already in Au so no import tax, no cost to import to Au etc etc), I would have thought (and this is a straight up guess) that these things would add $30k to US prices in Australia?

thanks for all the advice and help, much appreciated.
will have to look into it further.
statement of origin certificate from Shelby automobiles inc showing year model as 1965 but i'm guessing something was not done right.
again, thanks and am still happy to receive offers accordingly until and if it will be taken off the market.
cheers.

to my knowledge it is not red flagged and transfer should be easy as paying the fees.

Oh,and for the record, only CSX2000 and CSX3000 series cars were built in the 60's,all others where built in the 90's and up as continuation series automobiles. All CSX4000 series cars have MSO's showing 1965 as the year, but that is not the year of actual production.

@soulman - my understanding after the research is that if you had a CSX3... it will be worth a million or so - a kirkham should be csx4... therefore.. caped at $150k.
i will have some more pics up in the next few days and hopefully things will clear up.
p.s.
i'm happy to help your Nigerian friend if he shows up with cash.. :/
