I Bought this Cobra Back in Jan 2011.It has a Shelby American tag.It has always Been My dream car since I was 11 years old(now 50)I love the car and would keep her forever if I wasn't 5' 10" and weighed 250lbs.I just don't fit in it well(to wide)plenty of leg room for anyone but,not enough width for me.Ive Put about 100 miles on her and have decided it's best to part ways for some thing more comfortable.the rest of this ad is from the man i bought the car from.he said it better than i could have.
This is the car you dream about. It is finished and my asking price is 60% of what it would take to duplicate this car.
This is the most fun you can have from 0 to 100 MPH! I have broke loose the tires at 60 MPH shifting.Sold as is no warranty.Titled as a 1966 Ford Cobra in MA
Built 390 FE motor revs super fast.Edlebrock aluminum heads and Edelbrock Performer manifold, Barry Grant 650 cfm Demon mechanical secondary carb, Canton 8 qt oil pan.
MSD 6AL ignition and MSD Distributor.Dual pusher fans a manual puller fan. Cobra style overflow tank etc. Side exhaust is ceramic coated.
David Kee, top loader 4spd. Original style shifter. Shatter proof bell-housing.
Adjustable coil over shocks front and rear. 4 in rear, 2 in front. 6 total.Independent CWI-“jag rear”, inboard disc brakes,
emergency brake, DANA 44 with est. 3.08 posi.Front disc brakes, polished, stainless, tubular A-arms, Rack-n-pinion steering.
Rectangular box frame.PS Engineering, cobra true knock off wheels, Phil Schmidt engineering. Excellent tires.Closest i could compare to is an ERA car
Original brand "Smith" gauges with Celsius temp for water and oil. Reverse speedo etc.
I would grade paint and interior at 8.5 out of 10 in and out to be conservative. A couple small flaws, a few small stress cracks, and a
few rock chips from driving the car. Seats adjust front to rear, racing style seat belts, attached roll bar. The most leg room you will
find in a non-stretched Cobra. Lowered floor boards and lengthen foot wells as far as possible.
I am 6' 220 lbs and I fit in it fine.I believe it would fit up to 6’3” easily, maybe more.Car is fully sorted and professionally built. NO DISSAPOINTMENTS!
I still drive it. I have added badges, mirrors, shoulder harness for driver, Car cover. I run premium unleaded and it screams. Literally.
Story on car being built: A few guys got together and decided to build cobras. This was the demo car which was trailered to shows and used
to drum up business and give rides to possible clients. As such it was built to a very high standard. As you know it is a very difficult
business to brake into and they did not make it. A shareholder sold me this car.I have been blessed to have owned 3 Cobras, this is the
best car I could ever hope for. Rides great, performs awesome and gets more attention than any car I have ever owned. I have had 3
1970 Cuda's, 2 Classic Corvettes(1962, 1965), 2 F100's(1953,1955), I have built & owned a B&B Cobra with a 302, and a Unique with 351w.
I had tested an ERA with 427, Helped finish a FFR for a freind, and bought this car! That is the quality and feel of this car.
If you show up and change your mind I will not hold it against you and refund your money with a smile. I am that confident!
You must show up to see and ride in car first though.Car is in Western,MA. Transport is the buyers responsibility and no title change
or car hauling until the money has cleared in my bank. Standard stuff.contact me with questions.

That's too bad you don't fit. I have a Lone Star, it's stretched 4" in the cockpit and has a dropped floor also. A friend is 6' 2" and he fits fine. Check into a LSC. These cars are too much fun not to drive and please don't give up your dream. Call me with any questions and photo's of mine. Thank you,
Kevin

Maybe I missed it, but why don't you specify which kit/replica manufacturer this car is from?

No, honestly I didn't want to be rude. I read and re-read it. I didn't want to upset you at all. My point was that I know exactly what your feelings are for wanting one of these cars. I finally was able to get an unfinished kit and am ecstatic. Now I'm having trouble with my eyesight and have great fears that I may not be able to complete it. When I read your reason for selling it, it tore at me that somebody else may have to get rid of their car for something that they possibly could do something about, I may not be able to. No offense meant.
John

"Looks" like a well sorted car. I like the color. Different, yet subtle in a period correct way. Good luck with the sale!
