One of the LAST Contemporary Cobra Kits around. Not a complete kit, but it has some EXTRAS that make it worth the price. It includes body, frame (with Watts linkage and roll bar mounting points), XKE rearend (rebuilt but missing one half shaft) with Wilwood calipers, Ford toploader transmission, Side pipes and headers, wiring harness, front bumper, aluminum hood scoop, side vents, pedal assembly choice of two big block intake manifolds, and an ASSEMBLY MANUAL. All the small stuff is missing but available on the net. (I know because the one kit I'm keeping is missing them too!).

Hey guys, for the sake of clarity can we find out if these two cars are real Contemporary kits or knock offs. If they are knock offs without paperwork or serial #s shouldnt we be calling them something other than Contemporary kit? I say this with all due respect and add that these partial kits might even be better built than the originals but for the guy that buys this, he'll need the info, it will affect his bottom line. Just thought it needed to be said. Good luck.

Were there 2 different molds used? My Contemporary body isn't laminated together top and bottom like the one in the picture.

It could be coilover....but the tabs for the torsion bars are there. You could go either way.

OK, mold seam. Same question different term. The 2 Contemporary raw bodies I've seen are black gel coat with entirely different seams.

My first one was black also....I'll go to the storage unit and look for a tag. It seems that body fits the frame which is a Contemporary frame (unless some one is making the same frame).
Still, it's as good as my last body.

Man I still got it,
Don Borders made copies of contemperary cars low volume shop, he once hooked up with coddington to mass produce but nothing ever came of it, he made nice stuff
