Description:

Kirkham Motorsports was the brain child of David and Thomas Kirkham. Both being AC Cobra owners and enthusiasts, in 1994 they embarked on a mission to build the finest replica’s in the business. After visiting a former fighter jet factory in Warsaw, Poland, and meeting some very skilled aluminum craftsman who were employed there, their vision met reality. Utilizing both skilled aluminum fabricators and technology not available in the 60’s, Kirkham Motorsports has become the best component car manufacturer in the business offering incredibly accurate aluminum bodied replicas of the legendary AC Cobra’s. Kirkham Motorsports is so good, they became the supplier of the Shelby CSX 4000, CSX 6000, CSX 7000, and CSX 8000 bodies for both the 427 and 289 Shelby American Cobra’s.
The KMS 427/SC Roadster offered here was delivered by Kirkham Motorsports as a “file finish aluminum” complete rolling chassis outfitted with all the best equipment available including the premium brakes, premium differential, premium adjustable suspension, upgraded differential, upgraded drive shaft and half shafts, 15 inch knock-off wheels and a host of other accessories and upgrades. Well over fifty-five thousand dollars had been spent to this point. All that was left was to finish and paint the entire car, install the interior, build a motor, source a worthy transmission and make it all work. These tasks were executed by some of the most capable and knowledgeable people in the east of the Mississippi.
The body and chassis were sent to nationally recognized restorer and painter, Nile Wing of Wings Auto Art. The rough file, bare aluminum body was block sanded smooth, every flaw removed, primed, and flawlessly painted and finished in Posey Blue with Wimbledon White stripes. Close to 400 hours were spent during the fit and finish of the body.
During this time, a purpose built, specially prepared 363 CID Ford small block was being assembled. The assembly features the best components available including: Ford Motorsports cast iron SVO block, JE forged pistons, Scat forged H beam connecting rods, Comp Cam High Tech push rods, Comp Cam Roller cam shaft, Hi Tech roller rockers, etc. all precision machined and assembled by RP Mack Motorsports, one of the premier engine builders in the mid-west. This is all fed by a Holley dual feed 650 cfm carburetor setting on top on an Edelbrock intake, producing a conservative estimate of 465hp.
RP Mack was also given the task of final assembly, this was a very logical decision given Ron Mack’s experience with restoring original AC Cobras and his involvement in many custom builds including other Kirkham cars. Among many other details, this included installing the leather interior provided by Kirkham, installing the custom motor, the Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission, fabricating a custom hidden exhaust, suspension set up, test, tune, sort and countless other details.
After 114 test miles, this car is AS NEW and outstanding in every way. Much thought and planning went into every aspect of the build of this Cobra, starting with the best chassis, body and components available, to implementing some of the most skillful people in the country. From start to finish, this 1965 KMS 427/SC Cobra was built to be the best. The results speak for themselves. Mechanically the car drives with exhilaration, cosmetically the presentation is breathtaking. One cannot come close to assembling a Cobra to this standard for the price offered here.

You need to increase your price by $15K since Kirkham raised their prices.
