Description:

Hello fellow car enthusiasts. I have up for sale my ERA 289 FIA Cobra replica. The car is currently registered in Arkansas as a 1965 Cobra so title transfer should be no issue. With only 3600 miles logged, this particular 289 replica is stunning in appearance and is one of the best built ERA replicas available for purchase. It is equipped with a 351W engine (see specs below) and a complete MSD ignition system as well as MSD's new Atomic EFI system. The fuel injection provides crisp throttle response along with excellent--and very manageable--low and mid-range torque. With the EFI system installed, HP is now estimated to be in the 400 range with torque at a conservative 430. Power is transferred to an IRS LSD Jaguar rear end via a Tremec TKO 600 5-speeed transmission with .82 OD. Helping keep it all under control are Spax shocks with Eibach springs, front and rear sway bars and four-wheel disk brakes. The car drives and handles as well as it looks.
The transmission, clutch, annular clutch release and all MSD components have logged approximately 1500 miles since installation. Specifications are as follows:
Engine
1969 351W with a .040 over bore giving it approximately a 357ci displacement
Speed Pro forged pistons (about 9.7:1, very friendly for pump gas)
Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum heads
Edelbrock Performer RPM Air gap intake
Edelbrock Performer RPM cam and hydraulic lifters
Edelbrock Aluminum water pump
MSD Atomic EFI
MSD distributor (ignition timing is run by the Atomic EFI)
MSD Blaster 2 vibration-resistant coil

March pulleys
Comp Cams Stainless Roller rockers
ARP bolts used throughout internally
Canton Road Race 8-quart oil pan

Thermostatically controlled radiator w/ Spal puller fan
Drive train
Tremec TKO 600 5-speed with .82 OD
Magnesium Nascar bell housing
Ram billet flywheel
Centerforce dual friction clutch (installed as new with the transmission)

This car was built high standards and was designed to perform well while providing worry-free reliability combined with excellent street manners. It’s an exceptional driver in its own right with an uncompromising balance of power, performance and drivability.
