Description: Hello fellow car enthusiasts. I have up for sale my ERA 289 FIA Cobra replica. The car is currently registered in Arkansas as a 1965 Cobra so title transfer should be no issue. With only 3600 miles logged, this particular 289 replica is stunning in appearance and is one of the best built ERA replicas available for purchase. It is equipped with a 351W engine (see specs below) and a complete MSD ignition system as well as MSD's new Atomic EFI system. The fuel injection provides crisp throttle response along with excellent--and very manageable--low and mid-range torque. With the EFI system installed, HP is now estimated to be in the 400 range with torque at a conservative 430. Power is transferred to an IRS LSD Jaguar rear end via a Tremec TKO 600 5-speeed transmission with .82 OD. Helping keep it all under control are Spax shocks with Eibach springs, front and rear sway bars and four-wheel disk brakes. The car drives and handles as well as it looks.

The transmission, clutch, annular clutch release and all MSD components have logged approximately 1500 miles since installation. Specifications are as follows:

Engine

1969 351W with a .040 over bore giving it approximately a 357ci displacement
Speed Pro forged pistons (about 9.7:1, very friendly for pump gas)
Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum heads
Edelbrock Performer RPM Air gap intake
Edelbrock Performer RPM cam and hydraulic lifters
Edelbrock Aluminum water pump
MSD Atomic EFI
MSD distributor (ignition timing is run by the Atomic EFI)
MSD Blaster 2 vibration-resistant coil
MSD ignition wires
MSD 6A ignition box
Tony Branda " Cobra" tall valve covers
Rollmaster timing chain
Canton Billit remote oil filter adapter
March pulleys
Comp Cams Stainless Roller rockers
ARP bolts used throughout internally
Canton Road Race 8-quart oil pan
Engine dynoed at 390HP and 420 ft lbs of torque at 6000 RPM (dyno was performed using a Holley 600cfm carburetor; thus the new HP/torque estimates with the Atomic EFI installed)
Thermostatically controlled radiator w/ Spal puller fan

Drive train

Tremec TKO 600 5-speed with .82 OD
Magnesium Nascar bell housing
Ram billet flywheel
Centerforce dual friction clutch (installed as new with the transmission)
Quarter Master 7/8” clutch master cylinder
Tilton hydraulic throw out bearing (installed as new with the transmission)

Front suspension and brakes

Independent front suspension with adjustable lower A-arms (adjustable via heim joints)
Adjustable Spax shocks with Eibach springs
Disk brakes with SS braided supply lines
Quarter Master ¾” front brake master cylinder

In-board disk brakes with SS braided supply lines

Ferrari Rosso Corsa (Racing Red); the color is absolutely stunning and is one of the best paint applications I’ve ever seen on a fiberglass car
Correct Raydot reproduction mirrors
Correct quick jacks

Interior

Original drop dash with Autometer "Smith-style" Cobra replica gauges
Quick-release steering wheel (this is an extremely nice option)
No wipers
Lexan front windshield (the Lexan windshield is great alternative to a glass windshield as these are prone to cracking in these cars; strong, yet flexible)
Correct 289 shifter and shift knob (the knob has the correct engraved four-speed shift pattern, yet the car is a 5-speed)
Kirkey "Vintage Bucket" aluminum racing seats
Impact 5 point harness (driver and passenger)
Correct FIA roll bar
Full carpet and floor mats
Removable transmission tunnel top cover

Miscellaneous

Trigo FIA "spare wheel" included, no tire
15 Gallon RCI fuel cell
Correct Lemans gas cap
Custom Headers and side pipes (powdered coated black)
Correct Harrison expansion tank
Aluminum trunk panels
Wiring, Aircraft grade or better/ Custom "Painless" type wiring harness
Correct Mocal oil cooler
Light weight Nascar XRP Hypalon oil hoses
Assembled with Grade 8 and SS hardware
Custom heavy duty flannel car cover (the is a very nice addition to this car)

Rolling stock

Trigo FIA 5- Pin knock off wheels
Yokahoma Avid 235 60 15 front tires
Yokahoma Avid 295 60 15 rear tires

This car was built high standards and was designed to perform well while providing worry-free reliability combined with excellent street manners. It’s an exceptional driver in its own right with an uncompromising balance of power, performance and drivability.

The following videos were shot on the evening of Saturday, August 4th, 2012. In short, they are pre-drive, drive and post-drive videos. This was the first start and drive after a fifteen-day storage period.
