Here's your chance to get an almost completed Cobra replica. To my best recollection the only things needed to complete this car include sidepipes, headlights, side vents, e-brake, front wheels/tires, carpet, and paint.
I have quite a few parts waiting to be installed to the car: taillights, door latches, hood latches, quick jack bumpers.
Inside the car, you'll find a Kirkey aluminum race seat for the driver and a SPF seat for the passenger. The dash is an aluminum piece (not permanently mounted to the cowl hoop yet) with Lucas switches and Autometer Smiths replica gauges. The pedal box has been removed from up above and a custom floor mounted pedal box has been constructed and installed. The windshield is plexiglas. The steering wheel is a Moto-Lita with a quick release adapter.
The suspension is all coil over shocks, with tubular upper/lower control arms. The rear brakes are a Ford SVO brake kit. The front brakes are 11" rotors with Wilwood GM single piston calipers and Hawk pads. PSE wheels are on the rear with Yokohama 295-50/15 tires.
The car is driveable, but of course it's not road legal.
I bought this car new from Shell Valley in 2003.
It includes a 9" Ford rearend with Richmond 3.70 gears and an Auburn Pro differential.
The transmission is a brand new TKO500 with a shortened input shaft. It sits behind a dialed-in Lakewood bellhousing. The pressure plate is a Schieffer 3 finger plate with 2800 lbs clamping force. The master cylinders are Wilwood and the hydraulic slave cylinder is a Wilwood piece as well.
The engine is a 428FE. I will have to provide information to anyone that's interested as it's too much to list here. It made 533hp/472lb-ft on Performance Engineering's dyno in Cincinnati, OH. It features a Keith Craft prepped block fitted with billet cross bolted main caps, a Scat rotating assembly, KCR Edelbrock heads, a Comp solid roller cam, Probe forged pistons, Erson roller rockers, a Dove Tunnel Wedge, Demon 725cfm carbs, and MSD ignition.
The 16 gallon fuel cell is located in the trunk. All lines have AN fittings. The fuel pump is a Holley electric pump.
I can provide all build pictures, build clearances, and all dyno videos are available on tape and on You Tube.
As a matter of fact, you can hear the engine run and see the car run on You Tube as well.
All parts are new! No donor stuff used!
In anticipation of removing the body for paint, there is some wiring/plumbing that's not permanently affixed. The rollbar cups are not welded and the dash is not mounted solid to the cowl hoop.
I have dozens of pictures of the car as it was being built dozens more of the engine as it was assembled.
I would be interested in working out a trade. I'd like to have a late 60's Camaro or a 69/70 Mustang.

Brent, I didnt realize you were so close to finishing. Im hoping that you will continue to work on it till you get it to the point where you cant live without it. Ive always enjoyed your comments here on CC. Sometiemes you were the only level headed one of the bunch. Good Luck and I hope that you get the urge again sometime soon.
