Description:

1967 Real 427 engined Unique Motorcars Shelby Cobra 427 S/C.
We have made the decision as parents to send our daughter to a local private school (which equals $$$) and so it is time for the "toys" to go.
One of the “toys” includes my favorite, our 1967 Unique Motorcars 427 S/C Cobra with a real 1967 427 Side Oiler dual carb engine.
It is the 4th and fastest Cobra Replica that I have had, and it is really beautiful. It is all sorted out and runs fantastic.
I'll let the photos do most of the talking. You can see 30 photos in my Photobucket Slideshow at this link:

If this direct link doesn't work. Please just copy and paste in your browser.
I know the following statements are elementary to most of you, but there might be a first time Cobra buyer looking at this ad so please indulge me with a little basic Cobra information that might help someone that is not a Cobra veteran. If you want to skip this little info session, then you can page down to the specifics of this Cobra. Thank you.
As you know, Cobras range from $25,000 to $5,000,000 and look very similar to the untrained eye from first glance. It is what is under that beautiful body and the shiny paint that really matters as to the huge price difference. Under the paint you need to compare body construction, chassis construction and design, front and rear suspension design and components used. You have to compare engines, transmissions, brakes, interiors, gauges, steering wheels, etc. Are the accessories and hardware components used interchangeable with the original Cobras and on and on.
When looking at value, of course any original Cobras manufactured by Shelby himself back in the 60’s are going to be priceless. Then in my opinion (which I know is debatable and has been hashed over in nausea) are the Shelby continuation Cobras and then the aluminum bodied Kirkhams, followed by several other high quality component manufactures (in no specific order) like ERA, Contemporary, Unique, Superformance, etc. (again only my opinion as a lifelong Cobra owner)
This replica is professionally built Unique Motorcars 427 S/C Shelby Cobra.
Unique Motorcars has a reputation as the oldest (founded in 1977), and one of the finest replica manufactures in the world.
Instead of me taking up space in this ad by retyping everything, please let me direct you to several Unique Motorcars links below to answer many of your questions as to what distinguishes a Unique Motorcars Cobra apart from the rest.

Ok now about his particular beautiful 427 Cobra:
The stunning Cobra that I have to offer for sale is Unique Motorcars # 9244.

Chassis:
Unique frames are made with rectangular tubing. The main rails 2"x4"/.120 wall thickness. This makes a very strong frame, with virtually NO chassis flexing encountered. This is definitely stronger than round tube frames. Each piece of rectangular 2" x 4" tubing is cut and put in a jig for MIG welding. This is a special electric wire fed welding technique that ensures a tight proper bond between all the frame pieces. There are no voids, and no bubbles. The heat is controlled to make a perfect weld at each joint. Unique uses a special welding jig for their frames so that all frames are the exact replica of the last one, or the next. As a result, Unique has the strongest frame in the industry. Their door hinges are fabricated from 1/4" steel plate, welded to two, 1" x 2" steel beams that run the entire length of our doors. This makes for a very strong door assembly that will not sag over time.
