Do have any paper work that would really help a lot and answer most questions.

I will talk to my mother about paperwork. They bought it in the early 80 and when my dad died my nephew stole the plate that came with it.

Actually if it was bought in the early 80's like you say, that really narrows
down the playing field.

No matter who the MFG is you are going to have to uncrate it, and take some pics if you really want to sell it. That's just how it is in the cobra community.

Where is the car, it was not unusual for a buyer to get a kit from a MFG that was close or in there same state. I know it is not much to go on but that color blue gel coat looks a lot like an A&C kit they are out of Buffalo NY and were around in the early 80s.

Do you have they MSO, if you don't you may end up having to sell it in pieces, Like I said he bought it near or in the same state as he lived in very common, back then anyways. I am sorry to say this to you but of all the MFG that it could have been, this is the one MFG that has the most checkered past and gave the kit car industry the black eye and stigma, that it somewhat still has to this day they have been in and out of business took deposits and did not deliver. If all the parts are there then that is a good thing, but the kit is going to have to be cleaned up and a complete inventory of all the parts.
or all you are going to get is low ball fire sale offers.
