I looked at it and thought about how the birdcage is put together on these things and I said to myself "That's not gonna fit". So I took the Mike McCluskey tank and put it in my frame and sure enough it fits with room to spare. At that point I documented all the valuable measurements and made a program out of them. Cut all these parts out of a heavier 0.090" 5052 Aluminum. MIG tacked them together from the inside including some very stout baffles and TIG welded the outside. This was then leak repaired and tested to 4.5 psi with air and liquid tested with water over several days. It has two reinforced fuel pickups, a main and reserve, also has a Centroid tube type fuel level sender, a vent rollover fitting, and a drain. One of my favorite features are the cute little dimples to get lower control arms off without pulling the tank. Of course it is filled via the 4" tube. We don't want you to spend alot of time while you spend your second mortgage on filling it. Tank straps and J-hooks to mount it are also available. This will fit all original style 427 chassis'. CSX, KMP, Exact, HiTech, mine etc. Contact me for any further internal detail shots or with any questions.

Nice one, how much is petrol there? We pay Euro 1,50 per liter in Germany.

Hey Dom, it's about $3.50/gal right now. I paid 3.35 yesterday which is a good price (x 4.42 per lit?). That's about $150 dollars to fill the big comp right? Speaking of numbers it would weigh about 300 pounds if gas is 7 lbs a gal.
Karl, sure I can. Do you want this instead of an SC one for yours? I can make one from 16 Ga 304. Jeff, we could do that for CCX sure. Do you want to SC/Comp (ramp) the trunk floor or fit it under stock trunk? It would look the same underneath the car regardless.
Let me know, Cheers Nick.

The tapered wedge that you made for us came out just perfectly. We are now ready to have the headers and pipes coated.
Jet Hot sent me a good quote in the mail and then when I called asked for about two hundred bucks more.
Have you any suggestions for us? We value your opinion.

Hi Tom, it was your clever idea, I just made the thing. Glad it worked out. I have a good guy up here that does coatings for us. Trouble with shipping them is they need a real good crate. www.directcoating.com $275 for Cobra side pipes and he does a nice job. Let me know if you need my help with it.
Cheers Nick

Gas is down to $1.96 up here. Anyone could afford to fill the big 42 now!
