California SB100 Registration #: CA966943
6,900 miles
Brushed Aluminum Body on Black Leather Interior
5- Speed Manual
Arguably, the Kirkham Cobras are one of the finest crafted cars of its kind on the market. The skilled work of the aluminum body is spectacular as well as the attention to detail to the chassis work. It was this level of quality that attracted the owner of this car to build a Kirkham.
The owner of this car is close friend of mine and is highly regarded in the collector car world. He is known for his meticulous attention to details and has some of the best example Porsche collectible cars in the world. In fact, several of his cars have won national Concours awards. His exactly the type of person you want to buy a car from.
This particular FIA body car was ordered with all the goodies and would cost somewhere between $140,000 to $150,000 to recreate today.
Options include:
Aluminum FIA Body Finish: Brushed
4” Stainless Steel Frame
Heat Shield for Foot Boxes
Polished Stainless Steel Ferrules, door, set of 8
Billet Aluminum Seat Tracks
Nylon Carpet installed
Billet Aluminum Pedal Assembly
15” Wood Steering Wheel
Leather Covered Dash
Leather seats
Stainless Steering Shaft and U-Joints
Tremec Transmission Mounts
Tremec Shift Lever
Kirkham Aluminum Differential w/Mounts
Penske Coil-Over Suspension
Willwood Brakes
Tonneau cover with split so it can be used while driving
Once the roller was delivered, the following drive train was installed:
Pre 1973 289 Block stroked to a 347: Blueprinted and balanced
513 Horsepower
The motor was custom built by Keith Craft.
Broadix Aluminum Heads fully ported
Steel crank and rods
Competition Cam with 575 Lift
6500 RPM Hydraulic Motor
Rev Limiter at 5500 RPM
Aluminum Flywheel
Lightweight Clutch
Tremec 5 speed gearbox: TKO 600 Dana 44 rear end
Rear Axle: 3:43 LSD
Kirkham Aluminum Copy of Salisbury Axle
Extra Fuel Tank in car (427 style/below trunk) 30 gal. capacity total between both tanks with custom venting
This car is extremely drivable with 350lb springs. Plus, it runs so cool, that you can literally drive this for hours in comfort. Plus, it gets almost 20mpg!! Not bad for a hotrod!
Furthermore, this car has already been registered and is smog exempt in California. With the new SB100 law, it is getting more and more difficult to register your specialty car these days.
So, why spend $40k to $50k more, wait 1-2 years, and have to deal with the California DMV when you can get your Kirkham today and at a great value price!
Obviously, the car is near perfect with no flaws. This car is currently registered as a 2005 car in California through September of 2009.
Sale also includes custom and rare “ALUMNUM” license plate.
