Luckily this motor has sat since the late 70's which has saved it. This is a 1964 R code top/center oiler motor from a Galaxie.
UPDATE: THE CRANK IS TURNED .010/.010. THE SIZE IS 2.740" AND 2.429" SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE AND THE RESERVE WILL BE ADJUSTED.
The block has never had any repairs, it has no sleeves, and it still has a std. bore with the factory pistons and rods. The pistons are in great shape with no pitting and minor wear on the thrust sides. I took out #1 and #5 to see how they would clean up.
As far as i can tell the block has never been decked due to the .030" piston to deck height. This is within .005" of the factory spec. The bores have a small ridge but no scoring in the cylinder walls that i see.
The crank has no ridges or scoring and looks as if it would only need a light polishing.
It has the 427 big balancer and timing tab
There is a cam in the motor but i don't know of the specs.
