Default 460 Stack Injection

So I dont know how you all feel about stack injection on our 460’s but when I saw the execution on this 460 with stack injection system, I was smitten. If I remember right this motor was stroked too. Its now a personal goal some day for my Cobra. Its a lot of money for the “bling”, but man it looks good

This was in a 66 Fairlane from PA at Endless Summer cruising in OC MD last Oct. well done I thought. I’ d like to hear more from personal experience with these units on 429/460? Here is the Speedmaster kit. You need to add injectors and the sensor kit to this.

Hi, that’s my Fairlane in the picture. It is a 532 Cubic inch based on a 460 (385 series) Ford (Dart 4 bolt) block.

The injection manifold is Speedmaster as someone pointed out, however, the EFI set up is by FAST.

I would also add, the intake manifold required a noteworthy amount of modification to actually work correctly. The fuel rails and other parts did not fit as well as advertised. Machining was required.

Furthermore, I will tell you if you’re thinking about this… The cost of the manifold is only the tip of the iceberg. You’d better be prepared to spend $10,000 on this set up. Intake, manifold, injectors, EFI, computer, set up and tune.

Finally I’d also like to point out at the average tuner is not qualified to work with dialing in eight stack injections. He requires special tools to balance each cylinder Correctly. This was true of the mechanical versions even before they were EFI.

I have a great tuner. I’m happy to recommend to anyone looking to build this set up, But I want to be transparent about how simply can seem versus the reality of really installing this sort of eight stack injection on your build.

If you have questions, feel free to reach out happy to answer.
