Default Irritating idot buyers

I finally was forced to pull an ad for a new 302 Ford Performance Engine after one buyer failed to send the funds and another asked at least fifty inane stupid questions, wanted pictures,..... when was my purchase date, yada, yada. Finally after I told him pull the trigger or get lost....yep just a tire kicker
I'll keep it!.

I was once asked if the car I wwas selling belonged to me.

Well no, it's the neighbor's car. You want it or not?

I've had enough people try to sell me cars that DID NOT have their names on the title that the first thing I ask to see is the title and their driver license. ... My guess is that many are trying to flip a used car without paying the taxes they would owe if they titled it themselves first. The problem is they may also be someone who has come into possession of a car and title they don't have permission to sell.

I understood you were jesting. But after being assured the seller held the title, driving an hour to see the car and discovering the truth after I had spent 20 minutes inspecting the car, my fun meter was fully pegged ...... to the left.

That's either fraud or it is title jumping, which is strictly speaking illegal even if it is a mistake. The seller should have reviewed his or her title first, and corrected any errors or mistakes. And honestly, you should have looked at the title and the seller's ID first and inspected the car second. Good thing you didn't drive it and have an accident, that could have been sticky.

But my meter isn't pegged. So. How many Germans does it take to fix a title error?

One. Germans are efficient and not very funny.

Haha, well it is a legitimate question because I was trying to buy a car one time and got all the way down to transfer of title/exchange of money and it surely was not the gentleman's name on that title...

I miss the days of the Bargain news here in New England and other published ad papers. No e-mail, texting or internet garbage. You called a seller or a buyer called you. Most of my experiences were people showing up with a pocket full of dead presidents we’d negotiate. The downside was always a small geographic audience. The internet and texting make trolling and tire kicking a sport. The old expression you have to kiss a few frogs to find a prince. Filtering trolls is annoying but not impossible. Happy selling.

I posted a transmission on a known marketplace. For sale (duh). And its (partially disassembled) condition was mentioned in the ad. With pictures. I even offered delivery within the city limits.

First 157 replies: Is it still available?
Some replies: Is it in 100% working condition?
Too many replies: What is the best price?
Others: Please contact me, I am interested.

Well, you know what, I don't have time for buy & sell ping-pong supported by buttons one can push below the ad. I am in a workshop, hardly online.

Ad has my number. Call me.

True, I am not selling much. But who needs it more?
