Met Steve Sunshine today.
I met Steve today at the carshow at the Pavilions in Scottsdale. Said he had just brokered the sale of CSX 3002 in Monterey. He liked the Exact Cobra but said I should move the coil to the front of the block as it would be where the original would have been placed. Had a good time talking with him. Nice guy.

Double. Great to meet you to. This is the first time I have been back on CC in quite some time. Your car is better than good and quite original looking. I would be more than happy to help you make a few originality tweeks(not paid, I know how words can be misconstrued here..)
I spend half my time in Scottsdale and the rest back in Hurricaneville, NJ..
Larry,
I sold 3002 to Riochard Ellis in Illinois. He actually drove it on the tour in Pebble Beach this year after tendering his deposit. It now resides with him. He was the one the sold the great "R" Model at RM, Monterey. He is really a great guy who flies under the Cobra Radar and had the passion to own the most important 427 Comp Cobra. I spent a lot of time with 3002 when it was owned by Tim Donovan in NJ.
Best to all.
Steve Sunshine
Excellent Steve, thanks for the update on 3002! I agree with you about it being "THE" 427 Comp Cobra. It's been my favorite since I first saw it.
AZ club's Christmas get together next weekend in Phoenix John if you can make it. I'd love to see the carbon car again before someone buys it. Same place it was a few years ago when you were there last.
If you're still in town Steve, it would be great if you could come by too. PM me if you can make it and I'll get you directions.
Larry
I was fortunate enough to have one of my Cobra buddies get this picture of me under 3002 signed by Rem. What a wonderful world of Cobra guys we live in. Nick Acton's Photos | Facebook

Steve is one of those true "car guys", could be found underneath a car with grease all over him just as much as all cleaned up and looking like a million dollars. Hats off to you Steve for working your magic on CSX3002.
Bill & Evan, Thanks for the great compliments. Nice to hear from old friends.
Mick-m. Bony? I haven't eat'n since Monterey..
Seats..Eventhough the "Miles project" never made it to fruiition, I did have a memorable and historic period of time dealing directly with Carroll. We had many interesting(OK, Crazy)conversations. The few seats we did make were really cool and those that have them are really lucky.
We've run into Steve a few times over the years in Monterey, but the best time was in NYC...Computerworks was on hand to record the meetup. That's CW's real voice at the beginning. JohnnyMac was "there" as well.

Jamo,
As JM stated, that is with him sober, you should see him after a day of racing and a night at the Seneca Lodge bar at WGI.
