Default Classic Roadster Red button?

Okay, possible stupid question.
My recently purchased CR has a red push button on the dash. I have seen the same button in most photos of other CR's. Mine has blue wires.

I have not been able to determine what it does? I tried tracing the wires but have not found what they lead too?

When I push it it does'nt do anything. Not for horn, not a kill switch, does not control brite headlights?

Any body know what it is for? I was thinking maybe for windshield washer?
Thanks,
Ken

Lol I knew I was setting myself up! I actually thought the 1st response would be "Never ever push the Red Button". So now I am going to get a million silly responces and will never know the real purpose lol

Ohio Ken,
The only buttons I have on my CR dash are black. One is for the starter and one is for the horn. Thank goodness there is no red button or my checking account would suffer...more.

John

I guess you're sure it's a button and not a dash light for the charging system?

Yes I do have the lights but this is a push button. I pressed while wife was in car, so I know it's not for an ejection seat, cause wifey is still here

It's my garage door button...and stop it. actually I have a spare switch on mine....drove me crazy until I pulled the dash to find it was not connected - just an extra for some future control.

Nope that is done with turn signal lever.

Spoke to another that has orig manual. Turns out this is not shown in installation. So previous owner must have added it. I am going to just have to trace those wires

You've obvoiusly pushed your "RED BUTTON". Welcome to the 23rd Century. Hillary Clinton VII is running for President of the United Federation of Planets and the liberals in the Peoples Republic of the United Kalifornias (which you would recognize as Washington, Oregon, New York and Illinois) are trying to orgainze enough supporters to open a corridor between the eastern and western portions of their state. The rest of the world, having come to thier senses millenia ago have forbidden their propogation anywhere outside of their borders.
