I looked through the 10 pages of info I have, but found no item description of the C. I'm familiar with the A and have rebuilt 8 of them. I purchased 1 D, and know its a preset pressure unit without the adjustable pressure feature of the A.
Curious to see if someone else can enlighten us.

I have seen Davids (601 HP) SW 240 A fuel pumps he has rebuilt first hand, his workmanship and attention to detail is second to none.
I sent two of my pumps to him for complete rebuilds, it is so nice to work with people that go that little bit further to turn out a good product.
Any body looking to have SW type fuel pumps rebuilt should consider David for the job, you won't be disappointed.
Daivd, cheers and thank you for a great job, very happy with my fuel pumps.

Anybody have a line on someone who can properly refinish the body? I tried, and failed miserably.
David, do you still rebuild these? Do you have the ability to replace the gasket deep inside (underneath the central tube that is wedged/staked in there)?

Ron,
Yes, I'm able to disassemble the entire pump, including the area you questioned and the switch assembly if needed. This thread has a photo of a disassembled pump. Vintage Fuel Pump Installation
I can also send the body to a fella who provides a nice finish. I have a photo of several bodies redone by this individual.
PM me and we'll exchange contact info.
David

Stewart-Warner 240- A -- C --D I.D. and NOS Parts
Good afternoon. To all resident Cobra experts, I only respond with fully documented information. According to the Design for Performance with Stewart-Warner Instrumentation, 1973 addition, page 29, --- S-W heavy duty Electric Fuel Pump, Electric fuel pump specifications: gas line connections: 1/4" internal P.T. --- Model 240-A (12V) pos. or neg. grd ---- -- 240-C (24V) pos. or neg. grd. Factory pressure setting : 3 1/2 - 4 PSI, adjustible 1-8 PSI (at the pump). Model 240-D (12V) Same specifications as Model 240-A less automatic pressure regulation. Preset pressure 5 1/2 PSI . If anyone needs more information, I can supply the part numbers for the 12 Volt coil kit and the switch kit for the pumps, so you can find them yourselves. I can also supply both expensive, unobtainium, kits, NOS in original S-W red and orange boxes for the lucky guys who bought 240-C pumps on ebay without doing the necessary research, and would attempt to change them out themselves, rather than having them done professionally, and tested here by our, 601HP, David. Thank you
