Thank you .Those pics are great. I had never seen the wooden block on the clutch pedal before.
Anyone know the story of that? For Lee Breedloves benefit? And is it the only one with it?

Maybe it was to help Phil reach the pedal?

Great video footage of them installing the AC in it for Sebring.

Since he never used the brakes - I assume the wood helped against the heat of the clutch pedal ;-)

I'm thinking that since he has not been here since 2008, we may not see him post again till 2016. Kind of the Brigadoon of Clubcobra members.

Hi Bill:
Been awhile since I have been on the Forum. CSX 2189 was sold a few years ago and I have been auto crossing and ice racing, for the most part, with my "vintage" VW Golf and Honda CRX. Phil Remington passed away two years ago. What a legend, and all of us who knew well really miss him. Such an incredible life he had. Still do some Toploader stuff and a little Weber tweaking once in awhile. Hope things are going well with you.

Heard you had sold the car, bet that was a tough decision after all those years. Glad to hear you are doing well. Two moves since you last were here, settling in to the new digs as we speak. 62 degrees in the middle of December, whats not to like. Come on down for a visit, you might fall in love with it too

Cal Metal - I have not seen any good full shots of the car, but it appears Legendary Motorcars has converted CSX2189 back to the early specs with the rounded rear flares and front street flares. Looks good from the partial shots I have seen.
I have been using the original weber manifold from you on my car for the past 8 years now. Webers sure are fun on these little 289s.

The decision was easy, actually. I had owned the car for twelve years and it was time to move on down the road. I never did race it, and subsequent to the sale, I pretty much liquidated the rest of the collectibles. The only car I have left is the '54 Corvette Drag C-- aka The Pizza Man--I have someone working on the sale of that, too.
Glad you are in a warm climate. Last winter was long and cold up here; however, I have indoor tennis 3-4 times a week and that breaks the tedium.
Good to hear from you.
