winter weather in a Cobra
It's warm and sunny in North Alabama.
For the last five days it has been 55 to 66 during the day.
Last Saturday Coach and I drove our Cobra to eat lunch. When we left we decided to put'z around because it was so warm. We drove east for 30 miles to Hickory Barn BBQ. There in the parking lot sat Jeff's Cobra.
We visited for a while and I bought a few rack of ribs before going home.
Sunday I called Jeff and picked him up for a short trip to Tenn. and back. High 50's.
Monday more put'z around in our Cobras.
Tuesday Coach called and we met at his shop. Took his Cobra and drove to Tenn. to eat at the Mustang Cafe. Weather was mid 60's but felt a little cooler than Monday's trip.
Several of the other guys reported driving their Cobras this past weekend.
Last week it was sleeting and spitting snow here.
It's going to get cold again in the next couple of days. Back to a wet low 30's.
But we are enjoying it when we can.
See ya on the road
Dwight

Dwight,
That is great that you got some good weather. I have gotten to drive both of my cars the past week, and it is sunny here but we have a very cold and quite hard wind blowing the last couple of days. It is supposed to be mostly clear and in the 60s until Friday, then the weekend is supposed to be in the upper 70s and possibly low 80s. I just wish this wind would stop.

No wind here so far this morning so if it doesn't start I plan to take the Coupe out for another drive. The temperature is supposed to be in the mid 60s with mostly cloudy skies, but this weekend it is supposed to be near 80 degrees.

Sounds good. We have had several days of nice, sunny weather here in Ark also, but I haven't put my car all back together from the winter projects list yet. A cold rain today but next week looks like a return to 60 degree weather so if I can get the exhaust all back on then maybe.

It's cold here highs in the high 30s to mid 40s, but we haven't had much snow, so I have been driving mine all the time. I usually put my cars in storage for the winter but I just can't bring myself to put this away. Having way to much fun as this is the first year done....

Look at posts by Hal Copple or Jim Kellogg, both people who drove their Superformance cars ALL year round!
Jim;s car saw regular daily driver service in upstate New York.........where it snow rather regularly. The hardtop did help ease the pain....................

It's been in the 30s here in MN for the past week. In January, that's almost shorts weather and certainly comfortable enough to drive around in a Cobra. The problem is all the slop and salt residue on the roads. It's tempting, but it's not worth it ): If I had a heated garage and a drain and was able to wash the car well afterwards I'd do it!!

Had to run mine over to the Superformance dealer last month. 20 miles each way. Was 18 degrees when I pulled out of the garage. No top. It sucked...
