1. I have some other projects I'd like those guys to wrap.
2. I kind of like the black snake skin stripes.
3. Overall a good demo of what they can do, but the finished car is not my cup of tea.

I'll translate that word for you: "Mierda."
That shifter looks like it came out of the Titanic's engine room. Any taller and it could double as large tree stake.

I believe the correct term is 'fugly'.

Anybody have a source for the cobra head gearshift knob with the red flashing light eyes?
What a great gag gift to a Cobra friend.

Actually, I thought it came out pretty good. I do not like the Earl Scheib $29.95 orange peel look, but whatever. Looks better than some paint jobs I have seen by a long shot.

Naa. The heat from the engine bay might keep shrinking, and when doing 100 plus will most likely split, and peel off.

The wrap tech is pretty cool, there is a shop here in Redwood City that does some really nice high end work (I saw a Bentley, Ferrari 458, and Jaguar XJ in there while driving by today). It's a lot of work, especially for a car like a cobra with a lot of extreme compound curves, and a full color change wrap can run $8k.
I'm pretty intrigued by the whole process, which is durable and can be peeled off with no damage to the paint.
Insofar as the blue cobra is concerned, it's hard to find virtue in the effort other than the fact they seem to have done a decent job applying the film... but it's just doesn't come together nicely in the finished car.

We have had a couple of people have their cars wrapped like that here and it never lasted long. The hot Summers and driving didn't take long until the vinyl started to look crappy and then it started peeling in places. I would stay with paint in MHO.

But I think that is the point, a paint change is forever whereas a wrap is good until doesn't look good or you change your mind.
